If this is true...what the heck is going on with our government.

I have seen many things in my life, but this, if true, takes the prize. How would you like to live on 1000.00 dollars a month and have that threatened to be taken away by "illegal" immigrants.  Just by making it across the border and applying for Social Security, they get paid to break the law.  How ridiculous is this.

Something needs to be done to protect the working people of the United States, that have worked and paid into "this retirement".  It is not much to live on, but it puts meat and potatoes on the dinner plates of some that would have nothing...and it is threatened to be taken away by a law breaker.

I know that many of the postal offices in border towns to Mexico have grown in size to handle the illegal immigrants taking our money.  This should have been stopped years ago.  What kind of a red flag is needed in Washington to put a stop to this form of stealing.  They are stealing from the Americans and nobody is doing anything about it.

9 hospitals in sourthern California had to close their ER departments because MANY illegal immigrants flooded the ERs for colds, give births and many other problems and the TAX PAYERS had to help pick up the tab.

Many that live in Mexico go to San Luis AZ and go to their LEGAL USA Post Office and get their welfare check. FREE Money and tax payer's expence. Much more money then if they worked all month in Mexico.

San Luis AZ has one of the biggest Post offices in the state of AZ. It is one of the smallest towns in AZ. Why to they have so many PO box's in such a small town on the borader?

Texas is not a state where loyality and hard work are valued unless you are a domestic servant in a very traditional Old South home.
Retirement and pensions and health insurance are all NEW things to us in Texas --- because companies who came down here from up North were used to providing their employees benefits because the labor unions MADE them provide them for the employees up there. We don't have labor unions here.

I notice that the bigs companies have gradually gotten away from providing ANY benefits at all. You have to even check with the Social Security Administration yourself to make sure that they are paying into that account because THAT IS ALL YOU WILL HAVE FOR RETIREMENT!

When Bergstrom Air Force Base was in Austin, Texas which is the state capital where most of the state agencies are located, there were a lot of retired air force people who stayed on. They had all their benefits from the service so they didn't need much of a salary or benefits, you see. The State agencies hired them up and it kept the salaries low and almsot no affordable benefits like health and dental insurance because they could get those at the BX and at Bergstrom --the hell with us who had never been in the service.

Even worse, all the hardcore military types came in and got most of the top jobs and replicated the authoritarian chain of command where the Uniform Code of Military Justice has superceded the US Constitution for years, and a civilian was hired only on the rare occasions that a retied serviceperson or their spouse or a Mason could not be found. that's just how it was. And then the person hired on woudl have to have one of them to vouch for them. That still persists today in Austin--it's all who you know. ( The backstabbing was pretty bad there too! Still is, they say.) I am not anti-military because I can say I never understood the world that they came from. I just didn't want to be treated like I was a worthless piece of trash apparently the way that lower eschelons in the military get treated.

When Bergstrom FINALLY shut down most of the retirees moved to San Antonio or Killeen or other places where there was a military installation and pay rates gradually went up and insurance was provided. The State did NOT grant many raises and if you got one WAS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT YOUR INSURANCE PREMIUMS JUST HAPPENED TO GO UP IN THE IDENTICAL AMOUNT OF YOUR RAISE? It happened to me the one time we were granted a raise! People I talk to who still work there swear it still happens.

The State Agency I used to work for was eventually broken up after years and years of "good old boy patronage" and alleged unsavory corruption and they fired a lot of the custodians and hired any kind of people from temp agencies and day labor places. Things started disappearing from there and nobody gave a damn. The contract security guards in the cheap polyester uniforms that replaced the state security workers sure didn't care at minimum wage and the turnover was tremendous.
Employees were having their lunches stolen.

I lost my job along with quite a few other "uppedity minorities " when our beloved governor Ann Richards left office and George W. Bush(the Son) was elected. I just went full-time with the job I had already been working on the weekends to make ends meet and appease the ulcers I was beginning to get. No references from the State needed because I never quit the job I had before I went there. Besides, everybody I ever worked with was terminated or transferred or just plain left the state altogether.

People tell me that the State also will give you job references from hell to potential employers! They claim that they shred your applications after five years but most job applications I have filled out since require you to go back at least 10. So it doesn't look good for anybody who ever worked there.( i wish I had thought ahead and figured out some way I could have kept those other miserable Austin employers from knowing I was looking for another job.)

The State will give horror story excuses for termination to the workforce center because they don't want you to draw unemployment. If you get hurt on the job, too bad for you. If you don't have a well-connected attorney to fight for you, you won't get a dime! That's how it works.

But because you are considered "disabled" nobody else will hire you either. And the State is NOT going to pay you for your disability without a lwyer how knows his or her way around! That can be expensive.

The former probation officer IS telling the truth.

I was NOT fired because I hadn't done anything wrong, I was "laid off indefinitely".

I was SUPPOSED to be represented by the State Employers Union which did absolutely NOTHING to save us. I think I finally got my union card my last day on the job. I figured out that the union reps schmooze with the elite legislators while I am wondering if I can afford a 50-cent can of soda.

The State of Texas used to at least provide steady employment but any time a politician wants to look good, they start firing state employees and claim they are economizing and look at how much money they are saving! Then they just change the names of the agencies and have to hire more people to fill the places of the one who were terminated.

Fomer Probation officer, the only way you are going to get a dime from the state or the social security disability payment from the US government either is with a lawyer these days.

Been there and done that or seen it done to other State employees like I used to be.

I was hired to work with Capitol Security by the State of Texas General Services Commission.

At the time, I was NOT told that I was just part of a transition team until the Texas Department of Public Safety would take over and then GET RID OF ALL OF US AND REPLACE US WITH POLITICAL CRONIES,FRIENDS OF FRIENDS,FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS.

So I really tried to do my job and succeeded very well.

But it became obvious that the only reason women security people were hired at all was because Ann Richards who was our Governor wanted to see women working in the Sam Houston Bldg. where she had her offices at the time.

The male CAPITOL POLICE officers kept threatening the women security officers --- I think they called us security workers --- and told us not to expect to be working there when Governor Richards left office.

One of the African American cleaning men told me about how corrupt and discriminatory that Capitol Police was --how they had beat up African American janitors in the past and planted fake evidence on them and got them sent to the penitentiary for very long terms and how they had set up women who would not go along with their romantic advances even th0ugh they were already married and so forth and so on...

I personally saw a few things that maybe I shouldn't have but who was I supposed to report them to? I was never told.

I started looking for another job.

The transition from the General Services Agency which was disbanded altogether to the Department of Public Safety was one I was looking forward to as all of the DPS troopers I had ever had anything to do with were courteous and professional and much better educated than these skulking, functional illiterate political flunkies I had seen here.

One night, I was given an assignment where I was supposed to go between two buildings and I was told to pay particular attention to one part of the furthermost building. While I was in that one, I was unable to hear the FIRE ALARM because the Capitol Police had arranged for that alarm to be disconnected to that I could not hear it so they wrote me up for not being able to hear it.

I WAS IN THE BUILDING AND THERE WAS NO FIRE BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY CHECKED IT.

I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY MANAGED TO GET THE AUDITORY AND THE BLINKING LIGHT ALARMS TURNED OFF AND IT DID NOT SHOW UP ON THE FIRE ALARM PANEL EITHER!

The maintenance guys testified that the alarm had been ordered disconnected but the DPS guy who was in charge of the kangaroo court style disciplinary hearing but he told them that it didn't matter because I had not been doing my job.

He then called me in by myself and wanted to know what I had seen and that it still wasn't too late to save my job if I would tell him everything I knew about everyone I knew and if I would perform certain sexual acts on him.

I suspected that he had a hidden camera and a recorder going to record the interview and show to his buddies afterward. Even if he hadn't , I would have still refused.

He then had a big stack of Notice of resignation letters and I saw several names of those of us who had been hired by The General Services Commission and told me I could sit there as long as I wanted, all night but I would not be allowed to leave until I signed the resignation letter absolving DPS of any wrongdoing in connection with my CONSTRUCTIVE DISCHARGE.

They had NO reason to fire me.I had not done anything wrong.

But this guy was starting to make me SICK! Very SICK!

He apparently was connected and I was NOT.

So I made him sweat it out and then I finally wrote out what he told me to write out, making sure there was nothing incriminating in there, and I signed it and then I left.

NOW I READ THAT THIS ALMIGHTY BUNCH OF CROOKS AT DPS OR THE ONES WHO TOOK OVER THE CAPITOL POLICE DUTY LET SOME CREEPY ANARCHIST OR SOME OTHER NUT NEARLY BURN DOWN THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION --- THE VERY HOUSE WHERE THE GOVERNOR OF TEXAS LIVES THAT WE THE PEOPLE OF TEXAS PROVIDED FOR HIM!

AND I AM NOT SURPRISED AT ALL.

If they browbeat, intimidate and denigrate the people who are trying to keep our Capitol Complex secure from bad folks the way they did us former CAPITOL SECURITY WORKERS, THEN THEY DESERVE THE VIGOROUS INVESTIGATION AND REORGANIZATION FROM HELL THAT GOVERNOR PERRY IS GOING TO GIVE THEM!
