What a nightmare:
This company is horrible. Not even registered with the BBB. So buyer beware! I was scammed by the owner Santiago Serna or so he says. The license they use isn't under his name...So who is this mystery man? He took money from me and my family and left us with a mud hole in our backyard! Ruined my neighbors yard with no perminssion from them! Santiago told me this would not be a problem that he would take care of it for me.

YEAH SURE HE DID. He just went right thru my neighbors yard with TANK. Dug a hole and left me to deal with this upon my arrival from work. I called Aztec Pools ha...what a joke! I even was cursed out by a lady who claims to be a manager? So I had to pay for my neighbors yard and irrigation system...

Aztec Pools told me that they would not finish my pool and and put a lien on my house, if I did not repair my neighbors yard. The owner told me they would use a small machine and NO damage would occur on my neighbors property at all. I paid Aztec Pools extra for this, And they used a huge machine. And cost me mor money... They never return my phone calls or my neighbors!

Oh my pool still is not even close to being complete! Just a big mud hole in my backyard! It has been 6 months so far! Oh and you scammed another one of my neighbor's also Santiago...Remember the paver walkway he paid you for? You take peoples hard earned money...and run for the hills! How can you live with yourself? Not to mention the hard feelings your company has caused betwen myself and my neighbor! See you in court!

A permit had to be pulled for the work. Did you pull the permit or did the company? If they pulled it and it states they are the contractor, you need to go to the kissimmee courthouse permitting dept and tell them your story. It's the new bldg and I believe on the 3rd floor. With a permit there is a time frame that the work has to be completed by. Also, I was told by them that if the company pulls the permit and they do not complete the work, the county can get involved and help you. Some pool companies ask that you pull the permit in your name as if you're doing the work, if you did this, I'm not sure if the permitting dept can help or not.

Also, you need to file a complaint with Florida Department of Consumer Services. Here is the online form, they helped me once and did a better job than the BBB

I'm confused how he can put a lien on a house when you didn't do the damage and does he even have that right? I can see them doing it for non-payment of services but not that.

He almost robbed me too, I still got robbed

I wonder how big this scam is? Santiago Serna came to my home earlier this year, aroung February or March, trying to sell me a pool. His business card said Award Pools. I didn't sign a contract at the time because I thought it was too much money. Then a few weeks after, another salesman/architect for Award Pools called and he begged us to try him again that he'll be the cheapest in town. He said Santiago was fired because he was stealing customers on the side. Guess what! I was robbed by Award Pools, anyway. Took my money, did not finish my pool, did not pay the subcontractors, now the subcontractors are suing me for payment and placing lien against my home. This appears to be a large, well organized scam in Florida!!! BEWARE!!!!!

I am very sorry that your dreams of owning a beautiful pool for your family has turned into a nightmare. But with that said, I hope everyone who reads your story will think twice before purchasing on price alone. Jennifer stated in her rebuttal that she went with Award Pools because they were the cheapest. Unfortunately, that is how these creeps rip off hard working people like her. My wife and I are in the pool building business. We have to compete with these criminals all the time. I can't tell you how many times we have lost a sell because someone else is "cheaper".
