Appollo Landscaping & Pool Services, Dallas Ward, Dan Ward , Dallas Dan Ward scam artist is active again Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex Texas

After visiting the Dallas Home and Garden show we had Dallas Ward give us an estimate on have the pool re-plastered, re-tiled and the deck re-textured. I searched the internet and the BBB for both Dallas Ward and his business name of Appollo Landscaping and Pools and found no information.

He arrived at my house with a contract on 3/26/07 and I asked him about his business and why he thought I couldn't find any information on the BBB about it. He said that he made it a point to always work out any disagreements with his customers. He also stated he'd been in business as Appollo for the last 14 years. So, after reviewing the paperwork, I gave him a check for 1/2 of the bid which was $3,350.

I went to work afterwards and started doing more research. I found it odd that the contract asked the checks be made out to Dan Ward, instead of Dallas Ward, which was listed on his business card. After searching Dan Ward, I came across fraud committed by this person going back to 2002. He basically changes his business name so the BBB can't keep track of him.

Further more, there is no addresses listed on his bid or on the contract. This guy is clearly good at what he does.

I printed up the complaints and returned home to ask him about them. He stated that he did so much business there will always be a few complaints. I told him that I wanted to void the contract but I had no complaint paying him $500 for draining the pool and removing about 1/2 the tile from the pool. He got very angry and left and said he was going to do what the contract said.

After reviewing the numerous complaints on Dan Ward, aka Dallas Ward aka Dallas Dan Ward on ripoffreport.com I'm afraid his poor quality work, should he perform it, will cost more to clean up and remove later.

I'm posting this primarily to warn others that Dan has a new business name (Appollo) and there are probably other folks from the Dallas Home and Garden Show that are taking bids from him today and in the coming weeks. Please be warned!
