Do not do business with ANY Shasta Pool Company. I signed a contract and gave a down payment via American Express (for just this reason and dispute) back on April 13, 2006 and my pool is still empty on June 23, 2006.
Lie after lie after lie. First lie, I was told by the sales guy Tom, that Shasta DOES NOT SUB-CONTRACT. 90% of what work has be completed, has ALL been SUB-CONTRACTED.
Delay after Delay after Delay, phone calls not being returned. To get work done, I have had to threaten filling with BBB, Reg of Contractors, media coverage and filling a complaint directly with American Express.
I must say though, the SUB-CONTRACTORS have been very nice and have done good work **SO FAR**. It is not the fault of the SUB-CONTRACTORS, they are working folk just like me.
THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE SALES DEPT AND CORP OFFICE.
They will tell you ANYTHING just to get you off their backs and off the phone.
If you want the job done in a TIMELY manner, DO NOT USE SHASTA POOLS, go with the little guy, the one who really cares about the customer and their satisfaction.

This has been one of the best investments our family ever made. We have made use of the lifetime warrabty many times in 12 years, most recently having a new heater installed for on $50!. In the past we have replaced two pumps, a chlorination system, all our in-floor heads and our filter once. If we did noy have the warranty, we would have spent thousands of dollars. Instead, we have spent around $400 over the years. That is just amazing. And when it comes time to sell our home (in another year or so), Shasta will inspect the pool for us for $50 and certify to a new owner all is working well. They weren't the cheapest up front, but in the long run, our Shasta Pool purchased saved us thousands!
