Scott Allen (H & A development / blue wave pools / Scott Allen Pools) was contacted to replace our $1100, three years old DE pool filter with a low maintenance sand filter. we paid him $750 for a new filter and installation, but the filter did not work. he came back 4 times to patch and glue his faulty plumbing and finally stop showing up. We had to contact another pool comapny and pay them about $450 to do the job right and get the pool equipment working again. The pump and filter are now working but the pool remains cloudy. Obviously the filter is either faulty or incorrect size. they do not return calls. We have filed a complaint with BBB, FTC and now here. Some companies should stay with pool cleaning only. This company at the time we contacted them were on the recommended list, but now has a big fat F with BBB.

additional work continues to corrrect original work

AUTHOR: sa - plano (USA)

follow up to pool water not getting clean. the 2nd company cleaning up the work of H & A development's work took the top off the filter and found the work was not done correctly. they now have to remove all sand, put gravel, then cover with sand for proper filteration. $360 for this.

so add it up: $750 to scott which should have been it. but then about $450 to redo plumbing and now $360 to redo the sand in the filter.

looking at all my options to recover my loss of time, 4 weeks of not having a swimable pool, and $800 extra I paid someone else to correct the work of this guy. amazing.
