Pamela Jessee was sent a $1000 check on August 1, 2006 as payment for the future midwifery service of delivery of our child. Our son was born four days later via an emergency C section at the local community hospital. Pamela Jessee was not present and her service of delivering our child was no longer needed.

Pamela was contacted days after the delivery and she assured us that she was coming to visit us at the hospital and would return the full amount of $1000 at that time. The first week of September, after not hearing from her for almost a month, we contacted her again, and she once again assured us she would send us all of the money by the end of September.

It is now November 21 and we have received no money. We have contacted her numerous times and her story is always the same, she will be getting money soon, and will send it to us as soon as she can.

Update: She agreed to meet me at her apartment on Saturday the 25th. After arriving, I knocked on her door with no response. I proceeded to alternately call her home phone and her cell phone with no response there either. I waited for an hour or so and came back and repeated my same actions. As I was leaving the police (that Pam had called) pulled up and frisked me and took my wallet and a pocket knife. She told them that I was threatening her. After hearing my side of the story the police released me and advised me to file a lawsuit immediately.
