IDCSERVCO - World Imaging Supplies, John Watts controller & Melissa Printers/Copiers Fax Ordering Supplies SCAM, Lies, gives Bogus Information Culver City California

My receptionist received a call Friday from a guy who said our Konica Minolta (KM) Printer/Copier contract is no longer valid, that KM supplies had been bought out and will no longer be supplying the toner. In order to get the best deal, World Imaging Supplies (WIS) affiliated with IDCSERVCO in Culver City, CA, are faxing us an order thru the end of the year and needs to sign off the order form immediately.

When my receptionist received the order confirmation only minutes later and read it, she did not sign it. Instead, since I had left for the day she called me at my home to confirm the best steps to take since World Imaging Supplies stated this had to be done immediately or our company would be paying highly inflated prices. We don't pay for copier and printers supplies; we have a maintenance contract that includes toners, etc. My response first was why didn't KM contact me if they had been bought out? So, my instructions were to call our representative and/or the director at KM, find out what's going on and call me back with the outcome.

Of course what we learned was that this is a scam. I came in first thing this morning and did some research on the company and all I've found so far is “scam alerts.” I don't know how many organizations get trapped with this but I am happy ours didn't! If my receptionist had fallen for this, the order confirmation stated we'd purchase $439 in toner! What ever you do – do NOT do business with IDCSERVCO – WORLD IMAGING SUPPLIES!
