Overnight prints uses fraudulent and deceptive sales practices. On 6-27-08, I ordered overnight business cards for $9.99, and then paid an additional $36.12 for overnight shipping. On 6-28-08, I checked the tracking status of my order, and noticed their website indicated a tracking number had not been issued yet. When I called, a company representative indicated she thought it was odd that a completed print job had not received a shipping number. When I checked on Sunday 6-29-08, the status was the same, no shipping number assigned.

I left on the business trip I needed the cards for on 6-30, and when I returned my order was waiting for me. According to Overnight prints tracking system, the order was delivered on 7-1-08, 4 days after the order was approved, and payment accepted for an overnight delivery.

On 7-7-08, I called to get a refund for the overnight charges and was told that according to Overnight prints, they met their standards and no refund was owed, or would be given. When I asked the representative if it seemed reasonable to a consumer to be charged for overnight delivery, and then have the delivery made 4 days later, he said all of this is addressed in the FAQ's on their website. I said it is not addressed on the order screen or summary, and again he indicated that I should have check their FAQ's.

This reminds me of the joke about a 24 hour convenience store; they are open 24 hours, just not all in a row. Overnight prints delivers overnight service, just overnight from whenever they get around to calling the shipping company.

At no point in the sales process, was there any indication that the order was not going to be shipped for 3 days, only recommended shipping upgrades for quicker delivery. It defies reason to name a company Overnight anything and then not work for 2 days of the week.

Overnight prints uses fraudulent market practices to deceive consumers and gain business they would otherwise not get with accurate advertising.
