I hired www.catchacheatpi.com or AV Investigations to follow my husband during a recent business trip as I suspected he was cheating. Catch a cheat Private Investigations was very sweet and nice until I paid them then after that they never returned telephone calls, lied to me about being on the case and made up stories why the couldnt get photos during the investigation.

They took my $2100.00 and did absolutely nothing on my case. I am reporting them to the BBB and do not want anyone else to be a victim of catchacheatpi.com or as their known legally AV Investigations of Fullerton, Ca.

How can a private investigator spend what is suppose to be 2 days on a case and yet have not 1 photo of anything to show me they were there. I know they took my money and lied about working my case. These guys are crooked and steal peoples money

CATCHACHEAT PI IS A SCAM WWW.CATCHACHEATPI.COM SCAM

AUTHOR: Sharper Image - Sacramento (U.S.A.)

Turn these guys in to the BBB and the governing agencies for Private Investigators. If they have no photos of your work something stinks here. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that catchacheatpi.com are crooks does it

Absolute "LIE" from unlicensed "person" call us: 1(877)A-SLY-FOX catchacheatPI.com

AUTHOR: Catchacheatpi - Fullerton (U.S.A.)

"ABSOLUTE LIE". We are one of few Professional Licensed Private Investigation Agencies in California with lawful walk in branch office address. (“Be aware of this”). Always ask for a state issued license and location of office when conducting business with a Private Investigator in California. This obvious, “ABOSULUTE LIE POST” is from someone lacking either a state license, business sense or license to practice anything and will remain conducting business probably from coffee shops unprofessionally and possibly unlawfully. Call us anytime to meet in person, our physical address is always published.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

Who are you?

AUTHOR: Kevin Mitnick - Los Angeles (U.S.A.)

Why do you hide behind a false name? Your comments about CatchaCheatPI are moot and without merit.

Please state your name, address, details about your complaint and proof of a charge back, civil complaint, or otherwise.

These allegations have no place here without such evidence.

Respectfully,

Kevin Mitnick

What to do about this Outrageous Rip-Off!

AUTHOR: Joe - Austin (U.S.A.)

I have 20 years in private investigation and private security and I can tell you right now that you don't have to take this.
First of all,I hope that you got proof that you paid these shysters some money.
Because if you did, I can tell you how to OWN them!

A REPUTABLE Private investigator no matter WHAT State they are licensed in takes a retainer.
This is up front money and it is very common in private investigation work to get the money for a "domestic" as I used to refer to cases like yours. Why?
The surveillance operation you asked them to do for you is called a "domestic."

It can be tedious, extremely dangerous and sometimes a private investigator can be mistaken for a hitman or a stalker. It is DANGEROUS work.

So the investigator will need a retainer for gas and miscellaneous expenses. THAT part is legitimate.

What is NOT legitimate is that these guys were SUPPOSED to have generated a written report for you AT THE VERY LEAST of what they did to EARN the retainer that you gave them.

They are supposed to write down what your husband did and all information on any woman they found with him and to get video or still 35mm photographs is possible. Video with sound is the preferred method these days.

They are SUPPOSED to give you a report I believe within 24-72 hours at the most of completing their operation.

You have two years to sue them for fraud and that is what I would do.
They are probably counting on you not wanting your husband to know that you retained them so that you will not make any trouble for them stealing their retainer and not giving you the report, video, etc. that they would have done for you had they been ETHNICAL private investigators.

Next, I want to ask if these people are even licensed by your state's licensing agency.

You DID keep the business card that the spokesman for the private investigation company handed you, didn't you?

It should have the license number that the State licensing agency assigned him. In Texas, it is required to be on all advertisements, etc.

Run, do not walk, to your State licensing board that licenses private investigators in your state and REPORT THIS GUY-- send copies of any receipts, business cards,.etc. that he gave you and write them a letter telling them the terms of your employing this "investigative service, and what they did that violated the terms of your agreement. It sure sounds like FRAUD and misappropriation of funds to me.

If there is no indication that he even had a license to start with, STILL send in the material to the State. You might be able to have him charged with a felony and for sure a lot of fines for working without a license.

Good luck.

I hope you resolved the situation with your husband to your satisfaction.
