I'm one of many reporting this guy named Christopher Clegg. He took $300 from me to update my site but kept on giving excuses and more excuses. He never did anything and never returned the money. He actually made fun of me. All he provided was a PO Box number that's why I didn't go to his house and get my money back, which I will eventually...

I am actually his former landlord.He skipped out on me yesterday without notice and trashed the house.

To give a little more info on Christopher Clegg. HE was my tenant for the last four months or so at 1803 Douglas Ave. in Clearwater,Florida. He told me he was a web designer and he worked from home.He always paid me in cash and I rarely spoke to him.His mother lived with him as well though she wasnt on the lease.
Two days ago MArch 31 2008 I received a note without warning from Chris explaining that he moved out the day before(6 months before his lease was up) and though he left the house a mess he hoped the security deposit would cover it.He then explained that he felt unsafe in the house and that didnt get along with the neighbors amongst other things.Because of this he said it was necessary to leave in a hurry.
Upon inspection of the house I found clothes still hanging in the closet,refrigerator full of food,a solid weeks worth of dishes in the sink,and junk strewn everywhere.He didnt even bother to flush the toilet or pick up a nice dog turd laid in the closet.So yes he was right that he left quickly .IM currently going through with filing a civil action in regards to his treatment of our property and loss of rent.I have info on him if anyone that has been ripped-off by him needs.PLease contact me.

I think the best thing is for anyone involved in Chris Clegg's Scam is to call the Clearwater Police Department and report the fraud.Give them his last known address and file a report.They will do something about it.As long as each and everyone who gets scammed by this guy files a report.As there is no way to actually exchange personal info on the Website I think that will have to do.If there is another way to contact me that I dont know of please try.

I am the person this report is filed against. To Pete, I do apologize for not getting your refund to you sooner, as I had stated, I was having some trouble with getting the money back on the project from the person who I paid to do the work, I FINALLY got the money back and would like to issue you a FULL and IMMEDIATE refund. I know you cannot post mailing information here, so please rebuttal this with your e-mail address in name at soandso dot com format, I will e-mail you IMMEDIATELY and I need to get your FULL ADDRESS, Amount, and PayPal E-mail Address. I Will have a Refund IMMEDIATELY issued to you same or next day upon receiving that, once again, I sincerely apologize. To the first people, I have no idea who you people are from two months ago. I have not had one client non-satisfied with my services since Pete.
Actually, I could provide 5-10 references off of the top of my head that are completely happy with my services.
TO MY PREVIOUS LANDLORD - Wow, I really hope you try to take civil action against me... For what?? My car was broken into, my house was broken into, I had numerous things stolen, my house was hit with bottles, I had cops in my backyard chasing down criminals ALL THE TIME... I could not stand it anymore. The neighbor was WANTED by the FBI as they came by the house and asked if we knew where she was, we told them YES, she lives next door, and the guy to the right is a convicted Sex Offender... NO THANK YOU. $750.00 should have been plenty to toss away some clothes or things that were left there.

Has anyone contacted the Clearwater Police Department and report Christopher Clegg???
If so let me know so I can do the same. He took me for $300 to update my site. He never did anything on the site, never returned the money like he said he was going to do.
Please let me know if anyone has successfully filed a report against that dude.
I still have all the emails and all I have to do is go online and print the check made to him. Please le me know.

Stanley AKA JoJo, no wonder you go by a nickname and not your real name. You became frustrated after a delay... Once I realized the project could not be completed on time, I told you I would refund you... you then proceeded to do the following;
1) You called me numerous names such as "Mother F*CKER", "B*tch" and others.
2) You Made PHYSICAL threats against me, including having people of your "group" come after me, you come after me, etc. All very violent, I do have the e-mails saved.
Regarding Filing a Report, Upon the time you made the PHYSICAL threats, I did file a Report with YOUR local Police Department and Mine because I HAD TO, anytime a Physical Threat is made it must be documented via a Report so that if the person is spotted near your premises or does try to attack you, they can be taken into immediate custody. You didn't receive a refund because you didn't do as I requested to obtain one and instead became increasingly "crazy" over the situation to the point I was no longer going to accept that behavior... I also want to add a point...
There was ONE other instance where I had a dispute with a client who DID file a Police report because I refused a refund due to the fact he made physical threats, and if you have filed a police report, they will tell you that the issue I had with that client was RESOLVED after negotiation and the client agreed he did make threats and APOLOGIZED. I issue a refund if it's deemed appropriate in any situation if it's handled professionally. You filing a police report against me almost a year after it happened will not do you any good, especially considering the fact I have already filed one claiming your physical threats which actually goes by the name of "Terroristic Threatening" as I informed you originally.

Christopher Clegg replied to my ad (hiring web programmer) on Craigslist and gave me a quote of $900 for 7-10 days period. I sent him a $450 check as a deposit and he cashed it immediately on March 16th 2007. I knew something was fishy when I found he had cashed the check immediately, since most web developers will cash the check after the work is done, or put the money in an escrow account until all work is complete. Then when I asked him to show me my project about 1 month later. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I'm not lying - nothing has been done. He gave me a lot of lies and promises like giving me a discount, working on my project, firing his staff and restaffing his team. The truth is anything came out from his mouth were all lies. He did nothing for the project.
Then I rehired another programmer to work on my website and requested a refund from him. He said that I need a written proposal mailed to him to get a refund. Then 1 month later, NOTHING came from him. Then he said that my written proposal is not valid and made me to write him another one. At the very end, he blamed me for being pushy and rude. Could you believe it? He basically stole my money away and still has the guts to blame me. Then he threatened me if I ever post any HONEST REVIEWS about his business, he is going slander my business and optimize the business slandering results with all search engines.
From my experience, Christopher Clegg and his company CleggDigitalMedia.com are all scams. I advise anyone who is looking for a web programmer, graphic designer to STAY AWAY FROM CleggDigitalMedia.com

To all who are still seeking returns from Clegg, leave your email address and I will share my story and the name and email of a person who is aware of Clegg's countless wrong doings, and has gotten everyone that has contacted them their money back. I would love to see him have to pay back at least those who were smart enough to come here and alert others of his nonsense front of a business that he calls cleggdigitalmedia.com.

Well, don't know what happened with you others, but in all honesty, I've never had a problem with Chris. He seems kind of busy all the time, but that's all. I designed a website for him and was successfully paid for it, every penny that was owed.
He is actually one of the most professional people that I have worked with, and I enjoy it very much. From my own experience, I would have to say that I don't think most of the people claiming to have a bad experience with him actually had a bad experience.
Everything is going smooth on my end. Try contacting him to resolve your problems, it's that simple!

i bought 4 websites from him for 14k a website brokerage, 2 hosting services, and proxy server the hosting servers were supposed to have 300 clients paying $12 a month each, after 3 months of hassling him i finally convinced his server supplier that i was in fact the rightful owner and discovered that the sites had 20 customers and all were delinquint.
the proxy was not functioning and did not hav any adds on it or traffic even though he said it earned 500 a month. and the brokerage with 9 sites built and ready to go two with customers already turned out to be 9 unfinished templates and no customers. there was also a mailing list that he said was part of the deal and exclusive to me and i discovered in the email account that he had sold it to others and this was months after he had sold it to me.
the guy is a thief and a liar and i have reported him the the FBI. i paid 7k for a hosting site that was just a template, he had told me he had closed the back end for a major upgrade! i feel so stupid and i will find him and bring him to justice!

Wow I'm sorry to hear he took you for that much. The comments here that are complimenting Chris are fake. I'm sure he skipped out on rent because there were several people looking for him. I called the clearwater police. Maybe it is still on file and you can get more information. If it is not let me know and I can do it again.
