My husband and I did independent contract work for Elite Premium Services, LLC from late October 2008 to the end of December 2008. Initially we were told by the service manager, Jonathan Zazueta, that payment would take about 4 weeks.
As the weeks passed we were in frequent contact with Jonathan and Murray Fields, Director of Operations/Ceo/President of the company. Murray made several statements regarding our payments including that he would send us a payment every friday, payment took 6 weeks, the check was sent, etc. Our first payment arrived only after we requested a tracking number since Murray stated he "overnighted" it.
As it stands we are currently owed about $3700. We informed Jonathan and Murray, via email, that we would not be completing any further work for their company until payment was received. To this Murray proceeded to inform us that we would be "charged back" for work not completed that had gone past due, however work orders in our possession that we had received only the day before had no due date on them. Murray added the following comment in his email to me, "Hopefully after seeing the costs associated with your unprofessional conduct will give you pause before you act this way again".
I have kept all of my communication with Jonathan and Murray, including emails, voicemails, and text messages. We received a payment from Elite Premium Services on 1-20-09, however when we took the check to Bank of America there was not money in the account to cover the check. We contacted Murray to resolve that matter.
Murray Fields is victimizing honest business people and attempting to burn them out of their money. We really wanted to make this business relationship work because it appeared to be a great opportunity to gain some financial stability, therefore we put our trust into the words Murray Fields spoke.
It seemed as though we were the only vendors in the Phoenix, Az area but were told we were not. We requested to coordinate with other vendors in our area so the work orders could be completed in a more timely and efficient manner but Jonathan said that Murray didn't like his vendors to know about each other and I can see why. In an email Murray stated to me that it was "inappropriate" for this request to be made.
I am dilligently working on obtaining all of the money we are owed. I am relieved to see that we are not the only people this is happening to, however it is extremely unfortunate that everyone being burned by Murray Fields is having to go through it.
