Springfield Crossing Timberland Partners failure to remedy AC issue, not honoring lease contract, claiming I owe them money after moving out Arlington, Texas

After living at this apartment complex for 15 months and having to continually request repair and replacement of a faulty AC unit, I moved out early. I sent them the TAA lease's required two written notices and then the final written notice terminating my lease according to the TAA lease provisions. They refuse to admit that I was within my rights to terminate my lease and continue to expect payment.
They say they repaired my unit after each request but that they cannot guarantee that something will stay fixed. However, if something needs to be repaired eleven times, especially within days or weeks of the previous repair, one would think they could figure out that repairs are not enough and it actually needs replaced.
On several occasions my requests were either ignored or forgotten until several days later and I had to pass those days in an apartment without AC in 100 degree weather.
They claim I am a valued resident yet evidently not valuable enough to have resolved my problem before I gave them final notice that I terminate my lease. They had 15 months and 11 opportunities to correct the underlying problem. They did not.
Even though I have repeatedly cited the sections and paragraphs of the TAA lease that I followed procedures, they refuse to accept them. They say they have been more than reasonable and willing to work with me but still expect me to pay them money they feel I owe them.
I have read other similar complaints of not making requested repairs or to remedy a situation against this management team in recent months.

I too have been victimized by Springfield Crossing and the Timberland Partners Management.
My roommate and I spent 18 months in an apartment with poor AC, and numerous leaky faucet problems that were apparently broken beyond repair because they needed fixing every few days or so. Our repair requests went unnoticed when we began to see a small crack developing in the ceiling from the skylight last summer. By the end of our lease in December, nobody had come to look at the rupture that had extended all the way to a wall about 10 feet from the area of initial split.
Two months before the lease was scheduled to end, we gave our proper 60 day notice of intent to vacate. This document was signed by both me and my roommate and given to the receptionist at that time. However, yesterday I received a call from a debt collector that I owed Springfield $1500+ for a lease termination fee and a security deposit, as well past-due rent charges and cleaning fees. I have statements from my financial institution that I have paid every month of rent and have already given proper notice to vacate.

After not hearing from management since December regarding this ongoing dispute, I have now begun receiving phone calls from the collection agency they submitted me to for the supposed fees owed them.
I am being punished and harassed for their neglect of a situation that should have been resolved long ago. All they had to do was replace my AC unit after the third failed repair. Instead they strung me along with feeble attempts at repair for 15 months. Instead of admitting they were wrong, they throw the blame on me for finally having enough of their neglect and moving out.
Having me live with less than sufficient living conditions wasn't enough for them. Now they insist on damaging my credit as well by reporting me to a collection agency.
