I have been dealing with another person at this company lately. Bob Walker (the supposed supervisor) and Al Estruch are no longer there. The people I have been dealing with to get my loan have been on top of the situation since last week. Whenever I ask for something, I get it quickly. They ordered the appraisal the day after I found a house. I will keep you posted on the situation.

After dealing with the 5th person at this company trying to get my loan done. I was told I was denied the loan even though I had a pre-approval letter. Then a few hours later, I get an email saying that there was another lender interested in my loan. After jumping through hoops and getting paperwork together that I had already sent them, I spend another week waiting. Then I am asked to pay off all my debt so they can "rescore" me. I told them If I could pay off all my debt, don't you think I would? Then they said ok, only pay off part of your debt. I told them that if I did that, I would have no money left to move on and use for down payment. They said that is all they could do. I said ok, then send me a denial letter so I can get back my earnest money. Now no one knows how to write a denial letter. I did however, get a call from my real estate agent telling me that 1st Guaranty had called and requested a survey from the listing agent. Who knows what is going on. I give up. i will try again in a year or two with a different lender.
Warning.....Do not deal with these people unless you have months to wait. We have been consistently told that our loan was approved for over 3 months. Now we are denied?

Please be aware, I started working for Crossland Credit and 1st Guaranty approximately 3 months ago. Initially, it went very well Crossland Credit was a new company and they seemed to be on the cutting edge of technology. I started as a loan officer and was quickly promoted to a manager. This company employed about 30 people.
After approximately 2 months into my employment, I noticed that the company could not follow through with what they promised their customers they would do. In other words, they collected money and were not able to deliver the service that was paid for. After having personal items stolen from my desk, I did my own research and found that Steven LaLonde has numerous judgments, liens, and people all over the country after him. However, Steve does not seem to be a bad person. After working closely with him, I became aware of people within his organization that have sabotaged his company. Nevertheless, that makes him incompetent to run a nationwide business where you collect people's money to deliver them a specific service, and then fail to follow through.
I found that Crossland Credit does not have the proper license to repair credit. Unbeknown to me, we were all working under false pretenses. As soon as I became aware of these facts, I brought it to Steve's attention and he assured me he would take care of the issues. By this time, payroll checks were bouncing, and in addition to the unhappy customers, the employees were unhappy as well. I resigned from my position with the company. I personally apologize for any harm that was done to all customers. A bit of advice to anyone, if you are a victim of this company ask your credit card company for your money back. Thank you.

Alipio Estruch, aka AE, is the person I was dealing with for weeks. He is the person who directly lied to me. He refused to call me or email me when I would request a contact from him. He specifically told me he was a supervisor only to find out he was not. Google his name and see what pops up. he is the biggest scammer of them all!!

If Al truly did help you save your mortgage, you are most definitely one in a million. You need to run to the store and buy as many lottery tickets as you can because you are one of the luckiest people on the planet. He was fired from 1st Guaranty in September 2008. Did you not read all the posts about him? He has ruined many deals and some lives. Google his name. Are you for real?

I thought that because of the times and the fact that I had a few bumps on my credit I had to go through a broker that dealt specifically in that type of loan. Turns out I found a great broker, Guaranteed Rate, and got a great deal. They bent over backwards for me and went to bat for me. They were great. They never lied or ignored my attempts to contact them.
I am still in touch with an ex-employee from 1st Guaranty (not Alipio Estruch) and he has told me all kinds of horror stories about 1st Guaranty.
Stay away from these people!!!!
They will ruin you!!!

Just to let everyone know...Steve and his wife were arrested...but let out on $500 bail. All of their computers, files, etc. were confiscated (or at least this is what an ex-employee has told me). Kind of funny for the amount of money they owe to people and the IRS and only have a pocket change bail. If you go to Broward.org and search the public court records....there are hundreds of judgments against these people. They have also swindled investors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Go to sunbiz.org and you can see all of the companies that are owned by the Lalonde's.....STAY AWAY FROM ALL OF THEM!!!!! They have a BBB rating of F on 95% of their companies! Just a word to the wise....always do research on companies before you deal with them....especially when it comes to your money.

I am the one who wrote the "a little more info" comment. And, just to let everyone know. It is not only "AL" who was supposedly crooked there. It is Steve, Amy, and a long list of their employees. All the bogus posts berating everyone else and boasting himself will be
over for at LEAST 5 years. Why because Steve Lalonde can NO LONGER
victimize ANOTHER person for at least 5 years. The FTC has now frozen
everything and those charges are coming down while they continue the
investigation. I think we're all hoping the 5 years will turn into
10-15 years because he caused a LIFETIME of damage to hundreds and
hundreds of people. He's not even the least remorseful if you can read
all the "favorable" posts which were written by him. Blaming everyone
except himself and acting like we are all liars and we were the innocent
victims of a very evil and ruthless man.
