I came on-line today to check websites to determine value of two art pieces I bought from Nigel Goddard of Galerie Concorde. I came across the ripoff report when I googled Peter Max "Nine Liberties".

Two years ago I was approached by Mr Goddard with a fabulous opportunity to buy a Peter Max "Nine Liberites" lithograph at a greatly discounted price, but he was only willing to sell it to me if I would be willing to sell it back. He called offering several other pieces and I eventually also bought a LeRoy Nieman "The Voice". I have wanted to sell "The Voice", in order to obtain another Nieman piece, "Funny Cide". I too have been told that my piece is 4th in line to sell and repeatedly he has tried to sell me "Funny Cide" now, because my piece would sell soon and the price is only going up. There has always been some amazing story about why he can offer me a great deal on "Funny Cide". But when I have gone online I have found other editions of the piece for the same or less money. Fortunately this has held me back from making this purchase.

In December, Nigel Goddard told me my piece should sell by March or April, 2008 but I have not heard anything from him. I am planning to call him tomorrow which is why I was doing my research today. I wanted to know what the internet reported prices on my two pieces, as he usually reports that he can get me so much more. My heart sank when I read the four ripoff reports. I am filing this report to let you know that I am out here also. The sales tactics of Nigel Goddard sounds so similair to the other ripoff reports. I have not been in any hurry to sell my pieces as I considered them long term investments, except the desire to exchange the Nieman, so I have not run into the frustration that others have reported. Has anyone tried to sell their art through any other avenue besides Gallerie Concorde? Is the Certificate of Authenticity for real? Although I enjoy both art pieces, I would not have paid this amount of money except as an investment.

Please keep me informed. I was not experiencing stress over the purchase of these two pieces, but now that I have read the experiences of others I see reason for concern.
