I am a mystery shopper. I work for several companies in the industry. MarketForce is by far the worst. Here is my story:
I was hired for an assignment involving a specific department at a specific location inside a store. I visited this store at the correct location and I visited the correct department. All of this information was included in my assignment, and I followed the directions perfectly. I completed the assignment and uploaded my work to their database.
Two days later I was notified via e-mail that I would not be paid for this assignment. It seemed like an automatic e-mail and there was no human being behind it. In the e-mail, it stated the reason for the non-payment was due to visiting the wrong department.
I know for a fact that I visited the right department. I reviewed a copy of the information given to me for the assignment and it says the department in BOLD LETTERS. I scanned this form and attached it to an e-mail that I sent to Market Force.
I have yet to receive a response from anyone affiliated with Market Force.
To this day I was not paid for the assignment that I successfully completed for Market Force. I am extremely disappointed in this company and I would recommend that they be avoided at all costs. Please do not make the mistake I did. This company does not deserve their employees.
If you represent Market Force and you're reading this, then you need to get your act together. If you continue to conduct business this way, you will be shut down by the BBB.
If you want the truth? I've never worked for a worse company, and it's a shame because Market Force dominates the industry.

I shop for them around 10 times a month and never have an issue. I've been paid promptly for every shop I've done for them, even some shops I didn't think I would get paid for because of something I did. They also seem to reply to emails fairly quickly in my experience. They are one of the best companies I've dealt with personally. Also remember you're not an employee you are a private contractor.

I completed over 143 assignments for this company and most of the time it took an act of congress to get paid for them. They lie about the mileage to a location. They will give you a low fee for completing the assignment not taking into account that if you have to travel 50 or more miles to get to a store that small few pennies they offer won't even cover gas when they pay $15 for the first hour and 2 dollars for each 15 minutes thereafter. They call you about jobs even after you move in your old location continueously. I have grown tired of Market Forces bull. Get with the times Market Force, when you ask a vendor to drive 50 miles or more make it worth their while to drive there. Your cheap and liars too.
