I bought my 2004 RX 8 Mazda in Sept. 2007 it had 14,000 + miles on it. I was told that the engine was replaced because the first owner said it would vibrate. So it was replaced. I was never told that there was a problem with the motor and that many RX8's have had to have their motor replaced, some after only a few thousand miles. Defult in engine and also a dispute as to what type of oil to use in the USA the warranty book said to use SW-20 motor oil. This oil that Mazda uses on all rotary engine oil changes can and has paved the way to premature engine rebuilds or new engines. The RX8 was recalled in 2008 for the engine problems..I was not notified.. I resently took my car in for air-condicion problems an was told I need a new engine. I was told to produce all my recipts for my oil changes and i did. after a week of waiting I was told that my warrenty had ended 17 days prior to coming in. I have 82,000 = miles on my car. I searched the web and many hundreds of owners have had the same problems. Many were also turned away because they could not produce paper work or warranty ran out or many other reasons. I would like to know about any class action act.
