1-800 Coffee Elliot Thomas Misrepresented the Facts, Pressured to Buy Subpar Coffee Machines East Elmhurst, New York USA New York

 Back in April 2013, I responded to an ad posted on one of the franchise opportunities portals regarding lucrative business of owning coffee vending machines. A sales person named Elliot Thomas responded to let me know he had two high-traffic locations available not far from where I live. The locations were cited as a 24/7 Call Center, other high-traffic medical facility. I have Elliot's e-mail confirming these two locations have been reserved for me. He used a high pressure sales technique saying that if I don't respond within the next 20 minutes, he couldn't guarantee these locations availability.

I fell for his trick and paid him $7200 for two machines. When the contract arrived, there were no mention of those locations in the contract. That appeared suspicious. Machines arrived almost a month later. When I opened the boxes I almost cried - the machines looked like they were put together by the first graders as their science fair project. They looked truly subpar and way too primitive to perform the functions described in the operations manual that was also appeared to be translated from the Chinese by a first grader. The operating manual was written in an extremly poor English and was hard to understand and follow. The truck company that delivered the machine busted one of them while unloading but they never apologized or offered any paper work to me.

They quickly left and my son had to drag the boxes himself into the garage for storage. The free cups and supplies that Elliot promised never arrived. The customer service center that they quickly set up never answered my questions. Elliot was extremely rude and evasive. The locations have not been identified until almost 3 weeks after the delivery. I received an e-mail from Elliot's accomplice  saying that  there is some interest in the machines from a nail salon. A nail salon?????? The other location was a super cheap motel 30 miles away from my home off a super busy I-95. Excuse me!!!

When I contacted Elliot about misleading information, he said he fullfiled his contractual obligations and does not want to do anything with me anymore. There is no refund or return.  Elliot was extremly rude and disprespectful. When I tried to look up his company 1-800 coffee on that franchise portal, guess what, they disappeared from that portal. Their Web site is gone too! They customer service center is gone too! The whole spectacle appears to be arranged as a quick setup to get our money and disappear. I intend to pursue other channels to get my money back and get justice for such a dishonest man as Elliot Thomas. Please stay away from 1-800 Coffee company and its main liar Elliot Thomas.
