1 ink.com 1inks.com Defective Ink Cartridges--Buyer Beware Burbank, California

In December 2009 I purchased a compatible HP 88XL ink cartridge deal from 1ink. It included (2) black extra large cartridges and (1) each standard size cyan, yellow, & magenta cartridges.  When the first black cartridge that I installed in my HP Officejet Pro L7680 was empty I installed the 2nd one in December 2010, one year later   This was beyond their so called 6 month "warranty" period.  The cartridge  was defective according to my printer software and would not run regardless of what I did with it, and I tried everything. When I contacted 1ink about this in December they advised that because it was beyond the 6 month warranty period they would not do anything. So I kind of have a cartridge full of ink that is destined for the scrap heap. I had never considered that I would need to test cartridges ahead of time within such a limited time frame.  If you do buy anything from them (which I do not advise) I recommend you test all cartridges as received since they obviously do not. Because of these sharp business practices I will never purchase another item from them nor would I recommend them to anyone.
