1112 Investment Company, LLC David Dromy Apartment renting misuse and bad practice Beverly Hills, California
The person living below us (who even has a music company registered at the apartment) constantly plays loud music, sometimes even until 5AM. We reported this to David Dromy who informed me that the people living in the below apartment were his friends, busy students, who would not play loud music, ever. After accidentally finding out who the "DJ" in question was and emailed David, he tried convincing me that he never claimed he was his friend etc. David did almost nothing to fix this, so the nuisance continued to this day.
A big part of the tenants of the building met up on the roof above our apartment to do drugs. At one occasion, one of the tenants (visibly on drugs) stepped on and broke our bathroom skylight so we had to plug the hole with newspaper so that we could use the bathroom in privacy until the serviceman came to fix it.
The whole apartment constantly smells like weed since (i guess the same "DJ") smokes (medicinal?) marijuana all day long. My wife, who suffers from a heart defect, started having arrhythmia, tachycardia and stabbing chest pain after a while. The doctor said this was most probably because of the marijuana fumes. Again, David Dromy didn't do anything to fix this, telling me it's the tenants right to smoke all the weed he wants.
Although charging for the service, 1112 Investments and David Dromy did not change the cosigner on our agreement as we requested, although they were asked to multiple times. We were literally trapped in the apartment for almost 2 days since the front gate was broken and nobody came to fix it during that time. When they did, it worked even worse for an additional day.
Our lease ends in 20-something days. After all the problems I had with David Dromy and 1112 Investment Company, the only thing I ask for is if they can use my security deposit as the last rent check, which they denied. Currently, our attorney had contacted the company and sent a pre-lawsuit letter to which nobody replied to still, so I guess we will be taking this to court.
To anybody trying to lease one of their apartments, beware. I had nothing but bad experiences and I'm looking forward to moving away from all this. Very shady company with no website I could find. Their real address is, I think: 9440 Santa Monica Blvd. #401, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
Again, do not rent from 1112 Investments.
