Webhost XTC and 1724designs.com stole $40,000 in 4 months. A short lived partnership.

The guys at 1724 designs are busy trying to dominate in search rankings for the phrases "Web Design in Watertown Wisconsin" "Internet Marketing in Watertown Wisconsin" and "SEO in Watertown Wisconsin" while I've worked hard to dominate for the phrases "Internet Marketing Services" "SEO and Internet Marketing Services" across all of North America.

You can review my public rankings for the national phrases, and you'll have to agree that I am one of the best SEO experts in North America. I am would like to make sure that any time anyone searches for "Web Designer, or SEO or Internet Marketing in Watertown Wisconsin" that they do not see these unscrupulous thieves in the search engine results pages and see the fact that they are a complete ripp-off.

I ended my partnership with Web Host XTC/1724 Designs in August of 2013 because they simply take people's money without trying to deliver a high quality website that is even close to being able to be competitive in the search engine rankings. They will deliver a $500 site but charge $5,000.

The guy I hired to be CEO, Scott Arnett of Watertown Wisconsin was forced out by the 28 year old amateur web designer Dan Martin and Paul Dickey the pool guy after I left. That was their second really stupid mistake. The first was ripping me off.

So now, you've got the pool guy and the amateur web designer in Watertown Wisconsin trying to act like they really have a clue as to what it takes to be competitive online and they really don't have a clue at all. Paul, you've drank too much of Dan Martin's cool aid.

Dan was my intern before the partnership, and I can tell you from 20 years of experience in this industry that he is unseasoned and has a lot to learn. I was willing to train him because he does love what he does, but doesn't get the big picture and is unwilling to put forth the effort it takes to deliver an ROI to customers.

Beware of 1724Designs of Watertown Wisconsin, Paul Dickey, Scott Arnett and Dan Martin.

Amusing as all get out, is the fact that Scott Arnett now wants to try to enter the fray of Web Design, SEO and Internet Marketing Services, yet has to hire people to do any of that work. Simply a guy marking up others' services.

Watch my rankings reports as I post them while I'm slapping down their results in Google search engine results. I will post reports regularly.

Again, I would never have even bothered to try to get any search phrases with the modifier "in Watertown Wisconsin" or even the modifier "in Wisconsin" because I'm already nationally competitive, but I wanted to warn people away from that group of unprincipled providers that will fail to gain any results.

The Court of Public Opinion

AUTHOR: Brian Bateman - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 06, 2014

The bottom line, Mr. Lankey, is that Scott's, Dan's, Paul's, yours and my own own clients will all see this report when they are researching whether or not to do business with any of us.

Your client should not persist in avoiding responsibility or culpability in this matter, but should instead choose to use this site's mediation to resolve this matter so that it may go away.

A Mighty Thin Veil Bob Lankey...

AUTHOR: Brian Bateman - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 06, 2014

Dear Mr. Bob Lankey,

The facts are very clear. You restate my facts, while trying to say that the facts are not factual.

I invested in Web Host XTC, both $40,000 in cash receivables and additional in the services and work executed for Web Host XTC and even for Arnett Services Group, LLC. I made Scott Arnett the CEO. asked Paul Dickey to assume responsibilities of managing the accounts receivable, accounts payable and the bank account. I was to manage and execute operations.

After 4 months of investing $10,000 per month, it was clear that Paul Dickey and Scott Arnett were acting as if they were owners and had even said that my investments were not investments, but rather were then Web Host XTC receivables. Less than one month into the partnership, I was not allowed to terminate a failing employee, but according to Scott Arnett and Paul Dickey, I was somehow responsible for his $1,200 per week salary, another thing which I had never agreed to furnish.

At the beginning of the partnership, my wife and I set up all of the bookkeeping for the new company, my wife was responsible for accounts payable and Scott's wife was responsible for accounts receivable and I was listed on the bank account as a signer and an owner. The fraud began almost immediately when Scott and Paul asked Scott's wife to send out bills due to my pre-existing company as Web Host XTC, rather than simply manage my company's receivables as had been agreed. This is where they started to fraudulently confiscate receivables.

The next step in the fraud was when Scott Arnett and Paul Dickey decided to remove access to any bookkeeping from my wife, essentially cutting me off from any knowledge of the financials of the company, also in direct violation of our Operating Agreement. This was done to cover the fact that both Scott and Paul had lied to me about the expenses of sponsoring the local Watertown Riverfest and Oconomowoc Days, which they claimed had only cost them $300 out of their own pocket but which later showed up on the books as $3,000 each. I obtained these books directly from Paul with both his and my attorneys present because the Operating Agreement requires the company to be transparent to investors, members and owners.

When Paul Dickey removed me from the bank account (even though I'd never made a single withdrawal) it was an inexcusable attempt to strong arm control. During this 4 months, I was 100% open, honest and transparent. My efforts were profitable, and I executed the production work that generated the profits. Since this was happening, I decided it was in my best interest to cease the $10,000 per month investment in Web Host XTC, however I did leave a small amount of receivables so that they would at least maintain the customers that were already converted over to their system of development.

As a 1/3rd owner, it is not within the rights of Scott Arnett and/or Paul Dickey to over rule my decisions regarding company expenditures, human resources, management, operations or dissolution. We are still owners of Web Host XTC. The company was not legally dissolved. I simply stopped investing more money with no control.

Almost immediately after I stepped back from day to day operations, they started piling money into the red column of the books for Web Host XTC, making it unlikely that I would ever see a penny of return on my substantial investment. When I received a copy of the bookwork in November, they had the company in the red by over $100,000 due to their expenditures. From a profit, to a loss in two months. As if this wasn't already bordering on criminal fraud, then they decided to start a new company called 1724 Designs in September, operate out of our location while competing against our own operations, add their expenses to the Web Host XTC books and steal all of the assets of Web Host XTC which were apparently transferred to 1724 Designs.

Whether Scott Arnett is an owner of 1724 Designs or not is of no concern to me, since the fraud was committed at Web Host XTC under his watch. I did state in my initial report that Paul Dickey and Dan Martin somehow forced Scott Arnett out of Web Host XTC (also without my knowledge or approval). No one, at any point, had the right to end operations under the name of Web Host XTC or create a competitor named 1724 Designs in order to steal clients, receivables and assets

In the end, my argument stands that I invested both time and money into this venture, while being defrauded almost every step of the way, only to build up an unethical company, 1724 Designs, that now wants to try to compete with me. It will not stand. It is criminal, and I'm sure that anyone reading this report will decline to do any business with Web Host XTC, Scott Arnett, 1724 Designs, Paul Dickey or Dan Martin. It might very well be that people reading this report will not want to get caught up in drama and will decline to do business with me. Since I have a national customer base, I'm willing to continue this fight until I'm satisfied that I have been made whole.

Bateman's Facts

AUTHOR: Bob Lankey - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 06, 2014

Mr. Brian Bateman once again misrepresents the facts.  WebHost XTC is a Nevada company that is no longer in business, with 3 partners, one of them himself.  1724 Designs LLC is a Wisconsin company with one owner, clearly registered in the State of Wisconsin, Mr. Paul Dickey.  Mr. Bateman as a owner of WebHost XTC is 1/3 responsible for all business related matters.  Perhaps your attorney will be happy to assist you in these matters.

Scott Arnett's Involvement With Web Host XTC and 1724 Designs

AUTHOR: Brian Bateman - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, May 06, 2014

Scott Arnett was clearly the CEO of Web Host XTC at the time of the fraud. This information is on file with the State of Nevada where Web Host XTC was organized, and the Articles of Organization do clearly show that Scott Arnett is a 1/3rd member of the company along with myself and Paul Dickey.

Changing the name to 1724 Designs from Web Host XTC and fraudulently moving assetts from one company to the other is simply more fraud. I hold Paul Dickey, Scott Arnett and Dan Martin (of Martin Designs) in Watertown Wisconsin, individually and severally responsible.

This matter will either be resolved through mediation provided by this site, or criminal charges will be brought against Scott Arnett, Paul Dickey, Dan Martin, Web Host XTC, 1724 Designs and Martin Designs. I am open to discussing ways to resolve this serious matter before it has to get to that point. What is your offer to settle?
