I entered a clean, organized and neatly stocked electronics store next to the mall with large neon signs naming the manufacturers they carried. A well groomed and professional salesman immediately greeted me and asked what I was looking for. I told him a touchpad and he went into his salesman mode----the conversation/information that he provided gave me all the information I needed to make a purchase. The price was in my range and when I hesitated for a second, he threw in a cover for the touchpad I was considering; Sounded Like A Great Deal!!!! WRONG!!!!

To make a long story short- the touchpad was sold to me as a new product in a new sealed box with a new product price and no battery!! Less than an hour after the sale I returned the unopened box when I saw the word "refurbished". They refused to refund my money or sale me a new touchpad or even give me a battery for the one I bought!! The manager actually smiled and said "it really is new overstock, they are just saying refurbished, here let me show you" and I said "the salesman (who had disappeared) should have disclosed that information before I made the purchase". He then tried to say that as an outlet store they do not have to disclose that information???? Come on now....

A long conversation ensued to no avail. No signs anywhere saying that "all sales are final" " batteries not included"  "items are refurbished"......I have contacted my credit card company and started a dispute and reported this to the Better Business Bureau. The BBB has 17 complaints against them this year and they are not a member of the BBB--surprise, surprise! And now I find this site and more reports about 192camera.com.

The store did not look like a second hand shop or pawn shop- what more can I say..."Don't judge a book by its' cover?"..."The grass is usually greener because of the manure"... "Live and Learn" ...and I hope that the "fat lady sings real soon" and I can add an update.
