In December of 2004 I noticed on my bank account 4 charges of $30.00 each from a company called SGADA.COM 800-370-5012 NICOSIA. I called that number and they told me they are just a money processing service company. They told me it was a company called My Perfect Credit, after locating a number and email address on the internet I proceeded to call them and told them that I never wanted or asked for this service.

They asked me if I recently ordered a credit report online. I told them yes, I got my free credit report online, because in California credit reports are free. I told them they better refund my $120.00 right now. They said okay, and sent me an email to fill out they said it was a formality. I did as they asked I filled out their email and sent it back, I also faxed it to them. here was the 1st transaction:

I never received a reimbursement even after many more attempts to get my money back. I just gave up. This was all in the month of Dec. 2004.

Then, all of a sudden July 27, 2005 I receive a phone call from a company called 1st credit of America stating that I owe 200+ dollars for service rendered by My Perfect Credit.

I told them I don't owe them any money, this is fraud. They asked me if I refused to pay. I told them I will pay after I receive a paper bill, statement, etc. in the mail stating who, what, when and why I owe. They told me they will not send anything until I pay them money over the phone first and that if I don't pay they will ruin my credit.

I laughed and told them send me a bill in the mail or I will not pay. Good Day and Don't Call Me Again! Of course they continue to call every day via their automated system. I filed a complaint with the California BBB.

I would like to be part of a class action lawsuit to get these frauds. I wonder how many innocent people have got suckered into paying them this money. Something has to be done about this! I also found another address for 1st Credit of America if anyone is interested:

Credit Received from My Perfect Credit!

I can't believe it! I was on my bank website looking at my bank register when I noticed 4 x $30.00 credits from My Perfect Credit! I never thought it would happen but it did. I'm thankful that my perseverence paid off. However, the skeptical part of me says "Let's see what happens next" but in the mean time I am feeling better about the world!

I sent them a cease and desist letter as well and received the delivery confirmation. This did not stop their calling. They called from different phone numbers, and would even block the number at times. For weeks after they received the letters, I would still get calls several times a day from 1st Credit of America, then they ended abruptly. I do not think that it is a coincidence that a new company - Omega Direct Response (ConnectOne) - starting calling me several times a day since then. They have never left a message, and I'm not calling them back. They promote themselves as a marketing agency, but they also handle collections as well. I can't believe that 1st Credit ignored my dispute and passed my account on. I wish someone would initiate a class action lawsuit against 1st Credit, as I have several documented instances of FDCPA violations.

I sent a cease and desist letter with return receipt requested. I received the receipt and have not had a phone call from 1st credit of america since.
