I have had the worst experience with banking since being a customer of 1st national bank of tx. We all know when we make mistakes by going over the limit right? Sometime we have to pause and add all the numbers because we just cant believe it. If I did it then I dont have a problem paying the fee. I logged online to check my balance and had sixty dollars in my acct. I had an emergecy and had to make a purchase for 130.00. I was willing to pay for the fee for the emergency because you have to do what needs to be done. When I went online there were no pending transactions and all transactions shown were the one's expected. There is a slot for pending transactions and I know better then to make purchaces if it says there are pending transactions. I made the transaction for 130.00. I went online he next day and saw a complete mess. There were now five 'pending' transactions with the the 130.00 charge sitting under all five of them to give me a total charge of 174.00 in fees. I showed up to the bank with reciepts proving that theses transactions were made a week before the 130.00 purchase and that they showed up in my acct as posted not pending before I made the purchase and even with proof I was only reinbursed for 3 of the fees and that was because I harassed them like a stalker chick.
Now for something even worse. I have a balance in my acct for 16.98 and was charged for a nf bringing my acct to neg 17.98... I had 2 more pending charges that were gonna make me neg 2.36 that hadnt even posted and yet they charged me the fee while i still had a balance and were gonna charge me 2 more nf for the other 2 pending transactions as soon as they posted. i paid everything before the other 2 charges posted so i only had to pay one fee even though i was not in the negative when i was charged the fee... the fee was what put my acct into the neg. All I have to say is wow. If I wasnt afraid of gettign robbed i would keep my money at home. jeez i'd rather have a credit card then a checking acct right about now and i work for a credit card company and know how shady they are so thats gotta say something.

All you had to do is look in your checkbook register and you would have known that you had transactions that hadn't cleared yet. What? No register?
For future reference, not every unpaid debit transaction will show as pending. This is true at every financial institution. A little personal responsibility goes a long way here.

All you had to do is look in your checkbook register and you would have known that you had transactions that hadn't cleared yet. What? No register?
For future reference, not every unpaid debit transaction will show as pending. This is true at every financial institution. A little personal responsibility goes a long way here.
