In November 2007 our agent notified us that he noticed 1st National was overcharging our account so we changed to a different processor, notifying 1st National Processing in January that we were cancelling and changing to another company. Upon receiving the next month's bill, we notified our agent who said it had been handled.
We continued to get more bills, our agent got tired of dealing with things and quit answering our calls so I proceeded to call 1st National time and time again (on hold and switched to many operators each time or disconnected) finally to reach a man named "Robert Y." a manager. He informed me there was no indication on our account that we had cancelled so we had to fax our merchant #s and intent and signature to him. We promptly did this as well as mailed a hard copy to the company. Again another bill, another round of calls, another denial of ever receiving anything. again we sent notices by fax and mail.
It is now May2008 and 2 out of 3 of us have been billed, which is also odd since the cancellation request contained all 3 of our accounts which all process from the same unit. I attempted to fax our request (and a legal threat) to this company today and it would not go through. I have spent dozens of frustrating hours on the phone, wasted many days off trying to settle this. We have notified our bank not to allow any more withdrawls from this company.

Please Note: This complaint is not from a client of 1st National Processing New York. 1st National Processing New York is an independent sales office and provide our own customer service to our clients. There are over 100 across the nation. Just like insurance brokers. The independent sales office who services this client obviously dropped the ball and did not help their merchant. Please don't be confused, this is another Independent Sales Office , not 1st National Processing New York.
