We used 1st Choice Movers to move from Las Vegas, NV to New York State.  Our rep. seemed really helpful and gave us a Binding Quote.   I sent him a spreadsheet of all boxes and plastic bins with their sizes so they had a very accurate load list.  I added 4 very small boxes the day before the move.  They came to our house to load and first thing said is "You have more than on the list".  I ttold him about the list I sent, but he said he had to do a requote.  A also told him we had a binding estimate, but didn't matter to them.

They raised our quote approx. $650 from what was originally quoted.  They were late arriving to load and never called - I had to call them.  So they loaded truck and left.  They said they'd have our things delivered within 2-3 weeks.  They never called tyo give us the status of our load - again I had to call them.  They finally showed up 4 weeks later and driver refused to back into our driveway - our driveway is 115' long and no reason he couldn't back into it,k except they then charged us another $75 for a long walk delivery.

I had to mark off the box and bin tag numbers as the guys carried them in.  When done, I told the driver I was short at least 3 bins and a couple of boxes.  He said he'd mark the sheet as so.  He didn't and we signed and they left.  It was by then 8:30 at night so the next day we went down and started to go through our things.  It became very obvious that they had opened the boxes and bins and had gone through our things.  The bins were not taped at all and they were when they loaded them.  The boxes had been opened and retaped.  My 2 jewelry boxes were gone through and 98% of my jewelry was taken - including a pin my deceased father received from his employer for years of service.  It was solid gold so worth something.  They stole diamond earrings, sapphire earrings, all of my watches, all expensive things and left only 1 necklace and a few earrings.

As we moved on we found alot of broken items (boxes were crushed). A pair of very expensive lamps - 1 smashed.  I wrapped and packed all items myself and all was wrapped in layer upon layer of bubble wrap and the lamps were also wrapped in towels on top of bubble wrap.  They stole 4 leather coats and 2 NFL Jackets that were very expensive.  Also, a 35 mm camera, an ENVY Verizon Cell Phone, a brand new compressor - never used at all, a comforter set that was expensive.

Their website shows that your belongings go into wooden crates until shipment - yeah right - maybe after they have gone through it and stolen from you.  We filed a report with them and their so called insurance company offered us $101.00 for the entire damage and items stolen.  When I called to report missing items, etc. teh girl acted like oh well - this happens all the time and sent me forms to fill out.  Most of their staff and movers are foreign and are nothing but theives.    Once they received our forms, it took another 4-5 weeks or more to send us an offer letter of $101.00.  We were certainly shocked.  We talked to our rep. about the additional insurance and he assured us we didn't really need it as they were SO careful with our things, so we didn't take it.  In hindsight we should have sent them away when they incraesed our rate.  We read the reviews on their website and of course, ALL were good as they posted them themselves.  We since them found numerous complaints about them.

We are trying to find an attorney to represent us  in a lawsuit but no luck right now so if anyone has a name of a lawyer we can contact it would be appreciated.  Do not never, ever use this company - you will be sorry in the long run.  It would benefityou to use another company even if a bit more expensive.  I have researched extensively and cannot find the owners name - just wondering if he knows what is happening with his company.  He may and may not care - they have branches in Phoenix, LA, Seattle and Denver.  Reviews show complaints about each of them - all the same - late delivery, missing and broken items, etc.

Just beware - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
