I opened two Accounts w/ 24 hr: #GL57733 and Acct# GL57916( Mother's Account)
I paid all enrollment and processing fees except for $ 65.00 on my Mother's account which was scheduled to get paid the following month.
Our experience was horrible, we were promised a trainer A.S.A.P. unfortunately one was not available till 3 wks after membership purchase.
Michelle(24hr Trainer) would schedule appointments and not show up or not even call, meanwhile we didn't know how to use the gym equipment.
I paid nearly $200 on my Moms account, and didn't feel I was getting my money's worth, I called 24hr.. to cancel. By this time I had exceeded the # of days allowed for membership cancellation. But since I didn't receive what was promised, your Rep. said there will be no Cancellation fee
That same day, I decided to open another account for my Mother (GM90604), under a family add on special whose price better suited the service I was getting.
A week later I found out I had not only paid the enrollment fees for new account# GM90604, but was still being charged $65.00 on old acct# GL57916.
Since I had spent to much money already, and was still within the cancellation period for the new account, I spoke with a Panorama City Branch Manager (Male) and asked which would he rather me pay? The $65.00 on the old account or the $74.00 scheduled to be paid on the new account, if I choose not to cancel.
Obviously, he later told me he would write-off the $65 charge, since I opened a new account with 24hr.
The account was sent to a collection company instead, despite countless phone calls to Panorama Branch Managers to resolve this matter; I was only promised a request would be placed to cease collection.
It has been 2wks since I spoke to your Manager (Susan) about this, the collection calls still continue.. and the account has not been retrieved from the collection company.
I understand there are clerical errors in a business, So far I have been very courteous and patient with you, making countless efforts on my behalf to invest the time needed to resolve this problem. But I do not feel you have treated this matter with the importance it deserves.
I get screamed at and treated unfairly by the Collection Company you sold this account to. Despite your Manager Susan's assurance, that all collection efforts will stop, I continue receiving collection letters, and Acct#GL57916 is still active in their collection records!!!
