I locked myself out of my home while doing yardwork and I did not have my gate key. I have a cheap phone service which does not include internet and I tried texting everyone I could but I was not getting any responses since everyone was at work. I am a 60 year old woman on disability. I eventually heard my neighbor next door so I called out to her, asking if she could look up some locksmiths for me. The first one she found read "$15 service call and $35 lockout." I called them and a woman who answered the phone confirmed the cost and understood I did not need emergency service, I never requested it  She said a technician would call me. The phone rang a few minutes later and when I answered, the guy hung up on me. I waited 10 minutes to see if he would call back because now I have no other contacts to call since my neighbor left and the neighbor on the other side of me only speaks spanish.

I called the number back and the technician answered, telling me he just needed to confirm my address, I did and then we hung up. About 20 minutes later the tech was at my driveway. I told him I did not have a key to the walk in gate or the driveway gate and I needed the lock picked. He said he could not pick the lock because it was a cheap $2.00 master lock and then he said he would have to break it. I said fine. He got a set of cutters and in an instant broke the lock and came inside. I could not ask him to pick the two front door locks and the security screen lock because I have dogs and he could not go thru the house to let me in so I figured he could break the lock and pick the one back door lock and that removes that hurdle as well as saves me money. We went to the back of the house and he picked my cheap little Kwik Set lock from Wal Mart in about 1 minute so all in all, he spent 4 minutes getting me in.

I went into the house and got my credit card thinking that it would be $15 for the call, $35 for the lock out and whatever small fee to break the lock at the gate. He wrote up the receipt and it came to $180.00!!!! I asked why and told him what I was advertised and that it was confirmed by the woman who answered the phone. He said yes, but there was a $35 labor charge on the service call(?) What? Then he charged me $45 to break the lock, thought I already paid for labor? There were not products involved. Then he charged me $85 for the lockout. He says it "starts at" $35..what lock could possibly be easier to pick than a Kiwk set $25 lock? When I continued to complain, he told me I was also paying for his "expertise".

I can't believe he kept it to himself that he was going to charge me $200 and not ask whether I even had the money to pay for that! He refused to give on the bill which did not have the actual "legal" name of the Corporate company, had a misleading misnomer of Locksmith 24-7 Services, had no address, no phone number, no website, no email information. The credit card receipt had nothing as well. The only way I could determine as to who they really were was to check the name on my credit card charge to see what company, or person, requested payment from my bank. I filed a complaint with the main office in Albuquerque NM that gives you no contact information other than a website link that does not display the email location on March 15, 2016. I filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs and the BBB on March 15, 2016 as well. It has been over a week and I have not yet heard from anybody. My bank refused to provide me with credit card protection because they said the services were rendered so they will not get involved.

At 11:00 A.M. on 3/28/16, I received a phone call from someone in the New Mexico offices. He proceeded to tell me that he was not the same company as the one on the internet that I contacted however the "contact us" information on the website was his address, which he confirmed. I could not talk to him and told him to call me later since I was presently at the DMV and could not talk. He then said that just because he had an accent didn't mean he was a scam. He was calling due to my complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I advised that I did not particularly care for the comment and his tongue in cheek reference to my being a racist. I advised him that I was at the DMV and could not have a conversation with him nor did I have the contact information from the website that I could share with him. When I got home I called my credit card company to confirm that I did indeed have the correct company and the only information that was provided to me was a phone number that was submitted with the payment request.

I called and a woman answered and when she found out I wanted to file a complaint, she suddenly became the manager, then she was the owner! She called herself "Amy". I hung up and phoned my credit card company and I finally got someone on the phone who would listen. They contacted the merchant while they had me on the phone. The merchant tried to state that I knew what the cost of the services would be prior to the man doing the work began. I kept telling him that I did not know that the actual charges would be 5 times more than was was advertised until he charged me once the job was completed. That he never gave me the opportunity to tell him that the actual charges were too much or the chance to contact another locksmith to help me. He insisted that since I paid it that meant I knew what the charges "were going to be" before I asked for the services to be done. My credit card company decided that he was not being on the up and up and that a dispute needed to be filed.

I tried to call the man back in New Mexico who initially contacted me and he was not available. These companies are one in the same with nationwide locations. their legal name is 24/7 Loyal Service, LLC inTexas. They filed on May 5, 2014 and the state ID is 801983857 the agent of service is Idan Asayag, he is also listed as "Governing Person" as well as Roei Kandero. Idan also owns AP Loyal Service LLC and Roei owns Quick Loyal Service Inc. The website in Sacramento CA is loyalocksmith.com and they have the New Mexico address listed as the main contact address and a contact link to directly reach them which is the same as what the man said is his location address yet he denies being affiliated with him and that he wants me to rescind my complaints with DCA and BBB, citing that the websites I am referring to are just using his information to scam people and he has nothing to do with any of these companies. I have yet to speak with him again as he has not yet returned my phone call in trying to finish our early conversation begun from his call to me.
