I purchased a over-the-range microwave from Home Deport on the Black Friday because they had the best price with the lowest installation charge. However, as people always say, you get what you paid for: I scheduled the delivery and installation for Friday, December 20. Home Depot contracts 3PD for appliance delivery and installation. On the night of December 19, I received a call from 3PD confirming my delivery for the next day between 10am and 2pm. Everything seemed to be on the schedule. At 1:30pm, 30 minutes before the deadline of the promised delivery window, I got a call telling me that the installer is behind and they won't be able to make it to me on that day. I had no option but to re-schedule my delivery for the following Friday which was December 27, despite I had a broken microwave at home and I urgently needed my new one to sterlize baby bottles etc.

On December 26, again, I received a call from 3PD confirming my delivery between 8am and 12pm. [continued below]....

..... I made a call to 3PD to ensure that the delivery indeed would happen on time as I wasted 4 hours in the previous week and missed the work. They assured me that I would receive my delivery on time, and matter of fact, I am the 2nd stop for that route on December 20. At 11:30am on December 20, after I did not hear anything from 3PD, I made a phone call to find out what was going on. The person answered my call, Jennifer, informed me that my appliance has never made to their warehouse, therefore, no delivery was scheduled for me! I was extremely furious and demanded Jennifer to get to the bottom of this. She put me on hold and eventually hung up on me (which is something not a surprise to me, based on the caliber of this company).

I called back and got connected to Jessica who told me that she would look into this and called me back 10 to 15 minutes. I did not hear back from her 2 hours later, but fortunately I was told that I would receive my microwave within 2 hours. The delivery indeed occur within 2 hours and I asked the Driver why my delivery was delayed to 3pm when it was supposed to be between 8am to 12pm. The Driver told me that on his paper, it was scheduled between 12pm and 4pm. I did not want to argue further at that point. The entire installation took less than 30 minutes. During the installation, the technician even had to read the manual as he was not familiar how to install the microwave. After the installation, I had to hurry back to work, therefore, I did not check the quality of the installation. I did not return home from work until 10pm on that day and when I looked around the microwave, I was shocked what I saw; the back side of the microwave is not attached to the manufacture bracket at all, my right side of the microwave has severe scratch, because the technician forced the appliance during the installation. Multiple holes were drilled in the top cabinet and the technician left two empty holes he did not need, so my cabinet is pretty much ruined.

I called Home Depot demanding resolution and I am currently waiting for their response. Hopefully I will hear back from Home Deport soon. 3PD Inc. is definitely not a reliable company and must be avoided. If I have known I would have such experience, I would pay $100 more at Lowes to have the peace of mind.
