3ix, 3ix.com, 3ix Hosting, 3ix.org, MinMax Group Inc., 3iX Networks, They moved my server and in the process killed all 23 websites I had with them. The tech support is dumb as a door nail and they hide behind ticketing system. Any request has to be followed up by at least 10 different updates and at the end they don't know their head from their tail. A 3 year old can answer you more intelligently than all of the idiots they have working there as support! Internet

3ix Hosting moved my server and in the process killed all 23 websites I had with them.

The tech support is dumb as a door nail and they hide behind ticketing system. Any request has to be followed up by at least 10 different updates and at the end they don't know their head from their tail. A 3 year old can answer you more intelligently than all of the idiots they have working there as support!

When I frantically asked them to restore my sites from their daily or weekly backup, they said sorry our backups are erased due to server issue. (WTF?)

Then the idiot support (Suzie) had the audacity to accuse me.... " You must have done something on your end !!! "

They tried to move me from Nova server to Prince server and they KILLED MY BUSINESS in the process. I am taking legal action and going to be suing them for being so careless and negligent with my data.

STAY THE H*LL AWAY FROM 3IX and their hosting... They are a disgrace of the hosting industry and will in time hurt you and your business.

BE AWARE!

Hi Amir, it's sad when that happens, but I guess with your choice vocabulary, it's easy to put off any salesperson or service staff and cause a disservice at your expense.

Any reputable business will know that they cannot rely solely on third party, and that pro-active backups are necessary, for any business to survive and thrive and I believe in 3ix's case, with the lowest price plan around, they simply couldn't afford to invest in equipment that could have averted the disaster. It's understandable, but avoidable. In this aspect, I think 3ix service level is poor.

However, I myself have been a loyal customer of theirs for 3 years and still counting. I also have a reseller account as well. No doubt there have been annoying downtimes (about once every 2mths~), which can be considered quite frequent compared to other premium providers out there, but I guess you get what you pay for.

3ix's server load is quite high, and in this respect I think their performance ratio is poor too.

However, their pricing, their prompt support (even if its ticket systems), boastable features is arguably excellent, imho. I think it is, because any problems I've had they've managed to settle promptly.

So I guess here's the deal, if you're looking to host a site like CNET.com (example) then choosing 3ix is simply a bad choice. But if you're looking to host your personal blog for friends and family and your local community, then the bargains that 3ix offers is top-notch!

You get what you pay for! And by the way, people help courteous people more often than not. Cheers.

3ix customer for over 3 years

I would just like to say that this is the only report against 3ix.org on here, and 3ix has been a great company to me. I keep seeing bad reviews and I want to make sure at least someone can give them some credit. For $1 a month, the customer support converted my site into a completely turnkey Drupal site for free! It was amazing, I pay 22 bucks a year (after domain registration) and I got at least an hour of free support so far. They are great and allow me to conduct business very cheaply.

Server up-time isn't the best, probably around 98.5% instead of the 99.9% that godaddy.com promises, but it is really d**n good anyways. Also, I really truly believe if you are going to depend your entire livelihood on your website that you should have a backup. This post is absurd, and unfortunately S*** happens. Deal with it, but just reload your backup that you should have. I bet if you mailed them a zipped copy, they would upload your site for you.

Thanks,
Sam
