Not only did it takes longer than a month to get my basic template designed after giving them over a thousand dollars, but it looked like something my child had designed in high school. I was furious. I was told, this is just the first draft. It looked to me that they were trying to see just how horrible of a product I would be willing to accept. After nearly 2 months of changes I still wasn't happy.
After directing my traffic to this site I became aware of unusually high page load times. In fact, load times were so bad that it left clients hanging for 20+ seconds on certain search queries. Due to the complexity of moving a website with 100s of thousands of products it because obvious that we were going to be destroyed. 50Below responded "We do not guarantee page load times anywhere." quoted by Per Dalheen of 50below.
50Below led us to believe they were a competent IT based company with experience in the industry. The truth is, they are about 5 years behind the times. Their product is a joke compared to any open source package you can get online such as: OSCommerce, Magento, Zencart, BigCommerce, ect.
They also have joined forces with ADP lightspeed to provide a conjoining product that is not even PCI complaint for 2008 standards as of Dec, 2010. That means orders are processed insecurely without SSL. Not a big problem to 50below because most of their customers are so stupid they don't know what they are paying for.
To top it off, they gave me a shared shopping cart that is shared across every dealer on their network. It is the lowest quality cert that is $100 shared between thousands of websites! They cut corners in every aspect of the game.
They are nothing more than a joke. This place has cost me my business and my life.
Just do some looking around on the internet. Employees of 50Below have left their own reviews of what they think of their own product they are selling!
This place is destroying lives. A business that does not bring something useful to the world does not deserve to be in existence just to screw someone else out of their hard work. If this place wont get up with the times and provide a safe, secure, quality product.... Then someone else will.
Who do these people think they are? O Yeah... IT (Internet Technology) professionals.
They do not have ONE single Cisco certified or comparable IT technician on staff!
