Do not use "50 State Auto Transport Inc." unless you want to get lied too, ripped off, have your car damaged, be told they won't deliver your vehicle unless to pay them more money and that they will add a daily fee on top of overcharging you. All in addition to wasting an insane amount of time on the phone chasing them down.

First, let me say it took 3 weeks for them to call us to arrange a pick up date. That should have been our red flag that this company has dubious business practices.

2/15: Then they finally called us on a Saturday that they would pick up the car Monday.

2/17: They didn't show Monday.  We had to call them and then they said Tuesday.

2/18: They didn't show Tuesday either.  We called them again and they said Wednesday and even gave us an exact time unlike the previous two days of 9:30am.

2/19: Then Wednesday morning at 10 am we called after they didn't not show or call us and they said they were an hour late, two hours later an unknown company comes on a small flat bed to pick up the car.

2/21: Two days later, Friday afternoon we get a call from the broker telling us that our car has damage.  They can't say what the damage is but it's damaged and we have to pay 50 State Auto Transport Inc. an extra $200 fee. We ask the broker for the contact info. of 50 State Auto Transport Inc. and they tell us to call Ani.  When we call 50 State Auto Transport Inc. they tell us there's no Ani there and that Nick is in charge.  So now we call Nick, who right from the start is defensive and begins to tell us how are car is damaged, has no brakes, leaking and everything else.  When we ask him what exactly and how our car got damaged he said he doesn't know but the driver told him this.  We explain to Nick that is impossible because we just had the car serviced and video taped everything the day the car left on the flat bed.  When we asked him for the drivers cell to confirm exactly what happened and how the car got damaged he refused to give it to us.  At this point Nick then began to give us an ultimatum, pay the fee or he's holding our car and charging us a daily fee until we pay.

Upset and completely worried about our car we call the broker and explain what happened.  They customer service reps were very nice on the phone, agreed to call Nick and call us back.  When she called back she said Nick personally agreed to be at house for delivery Monday and would call us when he was on the way.  We arranged and told both the broker and Nick that we would have a mechanic present Monday to inspect the car on delivery. The rep also said that the companies were all closed on the weekend and that she hope everything goes well Monday.

2/22: Saturday afternoon we get a call from a female who tells us that the transport truck broke down and that on car is parked in a truck stop in Amarillo, Texas until Monday or Tuesday when transport truck can get repaired.  Immediately, we call Nick and his tone is completely different from our call Friday.  Nick is apologetic and tells us the broker called him, he then proceeds tp state if the driver clipped our cars brake line he will repair it and not charge us the $200 fee. We tell him to keep us informed as to when the transport truck is repaired and back on the road to reschedule the delivery and have a mechanic present, which he agrees to do so.

After, the call with Nick I leave a voice message for the broker informing them of the situation and to call me.  I never heard from the broker until I called them Thursday to inform them of the situation.

2/27: Thursday we get a phone call from the driver, the same driver that Nick would not give us his cell number to tell us he's 1 1/2 hour away.  Monday was supposed to be the delivery, Nick agreed to call us when the truck was repaired and leaving Texas.  No one called us, not the broker to check on us or Nick to even tell us Thursday was the delivery date.  Now were scrambled to get to the house in LA prime time traffic to meet the truck in 1 1/2 hours.  We ask the driver if Nick is with him and he said no.  We call Nick and right from the start he told us he took our car off the truck and inspected it himself and made accusations about our cars condition.  He then proceeded to say if we don't pay the $200 additional fee he was going to hold our car and charge us a daily $35 fee.  He began to continue to verbal demean us and at that point we told him we were not going to argue on the phone with him, that we would call the broker and see him in court.

We called the brokers customer service, they said they knew we had an issuse but no aware that the truck broke down or anything else.  I told her to check her notes and document everything.  I asked her to call Nick at 50 State Auto Transport and get her supervisor involved and call me back.  She said she would have her dispatcher call Nick and speak with him.

A flat bed truck arrive with our car.  The driver said no one called him and we had to pay the fee. I called the brokers customer service back and she says we have to back the fee and that's it.  I ask for her claim iinformation and she gives it to me.

We hired a mechanic to come to the hous and look at the car.  The brake line is damaged, the fuel tank is scratched and he needs to have our car towed to his shop to look over the car completely on the lift.

2/28: I called the broker customer service and inform them of the damage 50 State Auto Transport Inc. did to our car.  I explain to her that as the broker I want them to beware of this company that they broker out jobs too in the future.  The rep said the supervisor is not there and that I should just file the claim.

I urge anyone and everyone to AVOID / BEWARE  and STAY AWAY from this company.  Your losses will exceed any amount of $ in more $, time and stress.
