To All that received the Proposed Settlement against A-1 Leasing. Its unfair and I don't think its in the best interest of the class. We have to respond by July 23rd! Please you MUST read the notice very carefully. If you agree to the settlement you are releasing your rights to personally sue A-1. You are not releasing your rights to defend yourself if they were to sue you. You still have the right to defend yourself. You are also not releasing your rights to defend against the collection agencies or sue the collection agency. Remember though you give up your right to sue A-1. Of course, putting together a defense and to actually go after A-1 with a lawsuit on your own would be so costly I don't think any of us could afford that. The other option is to opt out totally. Keep in mind that if you opt out you are no longer associate with this in any way. Meaning, whatever the outcome of THIS settlement you are no longer entitled to any benefits. You do preserve all your rights to go after A-1 though. Another thing to note is that if more then 10% opt out of this settlement then the settlement agreement can be totally dismissed an no one gets a dime. Not the lawyers, not the plaintiff, no one. If you chose to object you have to be very careful to follow the exact rules outlined in the notice. You are still part of the class and are bound by the outcome even if you send in an objection. I don't know what to do. None of these options are in the best interest of the class if you ask me. And we are so short on time here. Responses need to received by July 23rd to be valid. Does anyone know what to do here?? Please join Yahoo Group to comminucate more freely and openly. Search Yahoo groups for Startup_A-1
