Mr. Juan Otero from A & J Miami Flooring is a crook. He took our $3,800 deposit for a job that should have been completed by the end of May. To date, we're still without a kitchen. We've made so many calls to the numbers we have listed, and personal visits to his shop that we lost count. This man is a liar and will tell you whatever it takes to make you go away. At the end of the day, he does not do the work. While researching his business, we have run into many others who have gotten the same treatment. In all fairness, we have run into a client or two who eventually got their kitchen, but it wasn't without threatening legal action. If you make the mistake of using this guy, once he has your deposit, be prepared for an experience like no other. The owner of an adjacent business told us when we went to his shop with the police that this guy is a "con man" and this was at least the 10th time the police have been to his shop for similar complaints. Please be careful, Mr. Otero talks a great game, and, it goes without saying that he's rates are very attractive, just know what he's after is your deposit. Check Yahoo, Angie's List and the other sites people post complaints and you'll see the trend.

We are in the middle of a nightmare with Juan Otero who we mistakenly gave all our money $5000+ to remodel our kitchen. The job was paid in April and it should have been finished by June 1st. To this day we do not have a kitchen, we have pieces because my husband went to his shop on a daily basis and even helped him to make the cabinets. The people he has working there leave one after another because he does not want to pay them. Now we cannot get our granite top put in since he will not pay the man Eva Granite who will not start the job if he does not get the money from Juan Otero and he refuses to pay him so we are in the middle with no kitchen and having paid for the entire job. Constant calls are no use, he disconnects his phone, he tells you a diffrent story every day to get you off his back but and the end he does not make any effort to complete the job. He promised he would buy the doors and never did then he said he was going to make them and he never did we have a kitchen with peices of crappy boxes that he left since my husband practicllay dragged him since he has no licsence it has been suspended he did him the favor of driving him and still he refuses to complete our kitchen. He is fast to take your money but will never complete the job. Be ware of A & J Miami FLooring and Juan Otero, unprofessional and total nightmare will be the experince if you do. I would like to find other of his clients that he has scammed so we can get our money back because he owns a house and an apartment we need to get our money back from this con man, theif. This is just a part of the nightmare we have lived by making the mistake of choosing A & J Miami FLooring Juan Otero. If you ever think of doing business with Juan Otero it will be more sour than a lemon!
