I also was under the impression after reading Mr. Coleman's misguided complaint, that 'Harry, of Canada' had the Basenji in question in his possession. After speaking with Mr. Brooks, I learned that he had spent many hours, and over $1,500 on the Basenji, which involved readying her for shows, showing her, trip expenses, and the cost of delivery of the Basenji to Harry. After approximately 4 months, Harry called Mr. Brooks stating he no longer wanted the Basenji. Mr. Brooks informed him of all the costs he had incurred, and afterwards, Harry proceeded to call Mr. Brooks' home telephone over 580 times, and his cell phone approximately 300 times. Harry told Mr. Brooks he no longer wanted the Basenji, and after he received communication from Mr. Brooks' attorney, Harry called the AKC stating the Basenji belonged to him. The AKC made it clear to Harry that , in fact, the Basenji did not belong to him, due to the money and time Mr. Brooks had spent on/with her. I have also been made aware by two other breeders they were contacted by Harry, and after asking to purchase one of their dogs, he broke his agreement with them as well. This gentlemen evidently wants a Basenji in his life, but for some reason, he has difficulty following through after he has initiated a transaction. I can only hope by now that Harry has filled the void in his life, and is happily loving and receiving love from a furry friend.
Due to the above in formation, I am requesting the negative statements made by Gary Coleman be removed in order to protect the good name of A. Tad Brooks/Meisterhaus.

Please allow me to correct the misinformation given by these two gentlemen. First, regarding the painting, I happened to see the paint job that was done by Mr. Coleman, and to be as kind as possible, it was very unprofessional in that the wood was not properly prepared to receive paint, which caused the paint to simply rub off while lightly cleaning with a damp rag. That evidently was the crux of the payment issue. I believe Mr. Brooks expected the job to be done correctly before payment was made, but after all the negativity from Mr. Coleman, Mr. Brooks simply paid him to just be done with it so he could focus on his love of his Basenjis and Whippets.
Our Canadian friend, Harry, had the Basenji for over 4 months, and then decided he wanted to return him to Tad. I don't know if his issue was due to having to exercise more because his new baby needed to be walked or he found himself unable to go about his day without having the responsibility of caring for a precious creature. I do realize people purchase/adopt pets without thinking it through as to the extra work it entails. I hope Harry has adapted to the routine of having a loving friend that needs his companionship as much as Harry evidently needs his. It is our 'furry' friends who teach us unconditional love.
It is evident by all those who know A. Tad Brooks, that he loves and nurtures each of the Basenjis and Whippets he has been blessed with. After putting so much effort in caring for them, Mr. Brooks becomes incredibly attached, and he tears up when they each leave for their new home. Mr. Brooks stays in contact with the majority of those who choose one of his precious charges, and according to the posts I see on the internet, he celebrates with the new owners at each milestone of the puppy's life.
It is for this reason I believe the posts should be removed, and if I had any say, I would check with The Attorney General's Office regarding the threatening statements made by Mr. Coleman, as well as an attorney, and possibly the County Prosecutor.
