Now that the smoke has cleared from the initial inspection of the AFFES cafeteria in Greely.

There are still issues to talk about. The employs still appear to be very un-happy. That is an issue because an unhappy employee gives the customers third rate service. The biggest issue has not changed. What is it: The quality and verity of the food.

For the prices they charge Id would like to know why are they buying the lowest grade of food only to mark up the price for the customer. If I am going to pay 5+ dollars for a combo, it should at least be  at the standard of regular fast food chains.

It is apparent that AAFES is trying to change the menu, however if they continue to buy stuff like frozen lasagna and the cheapest grade of hot dogs and sausages  you can find,  I will stop coming to the cafeteria all together.

One of the new line supervisors never where’s a hair net, yet all of the workers do. How is that a standard? The customer complaints were submitted to get better food for customers and  help create a more positive and sanitary environment  for those employees that work there.  But it appears they are under more pressure then where before.

Come on guys we understand it is a business. But if you are going to force the customer base that chooses to stay local for food,  at least improve the environment for you employees, buy doing so  will help keep the dwindling number of customers that are still coming.

To be honest, I think AAFES should put in a Charles or burger king.  Something more familiar than the no name Robin Hood and Anthony’s pizza.  I don’t even know what you would call the grill area.

The bottom line is. The changes AAFES  has made so far has not meet the expectation of most customers. The Dinner is not significantly better. If anything it is significantly worse.

There is a Burger King

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

It's right behind Riley Barracks. As for Robin Hood...yeah, I agree. But that's the chain at most Army PX's. Anthony's makes a decent pizza for the price. If I remember right, you save about half by ordering it before 1700.
Out in town is where you want to get a pizza though. Vinnies is awesome, but if you go to Demun's in Huachuca City, you'll never want anything else.

I really don't think your complaint is valid. Ft Huachuca is not Ft Hood. It's a very small(population) base, and the Command there actually does put forth every effort to make the place comfortable. There's a reason it has a very high rate of reenlistment(including those in Student staus), and it is one of the most desirable duty stations in the Army. Marines love it too.
