AAMCO 123rd Street Halstad, Chicago, Duratrans Inc. Adam and Mike Transmission problems, False Information on warrenty, took car apart and made me go with the company, also Items were stolen out of car and they are the only one who had the key to trunk. Chicago Illinois

On August 7, 2013 at 9:30  my exboyfriend and I went to AAMCO to get a Transmission Qoute. While in the office we had my dad on the phone to listen to the conversation. We were quoted $1100.00 and told no more than $1300.00 tops by mike. I was asked to leave a down payment if I agreed to get the work done. I gave Mike 300.00.  Never heard back for 3 weeks when I decided to call them.

After calling back I learned Adam the new manager said he was waiting for my call because he did not have my information. I was then told by Adam a different rate. My car would cost $1700.00 dollars.

 I called my father at once and had him talk to Adam.  My father asked him to put the car back and give it to me. Adams response was the 300 dollars would not be refunded. I did not have that much. I had to keep my car there and let them work on it. My father talked him into taking of the taxes and we were charged $1549.00 for the poor service that had been done.

My car has not been the same since. It is still having transmission problems and jumps on gear 30, 35, 40 miles per hour. I had took it in 2 times after getting the transmission job done. Adam told me I was mean for scolding him, and that the car would adjust its self , well it did more than that, and now after 7 months I am having issues again. Starting last week it is worse then before I took it in.

I explain to Adam my car was always quie and never sound the way it does. He claimed I needed a muffler, radiator, and breaks all around, so I replaced it all but still makes the noise. I called today 06/16/2014 because of the last week transmission slips coming back from the air port. I spoke to a gentleman that kept telling me I had to speak to adam.

I am tired of getting the run around. I just want my car fix.  Bad enough when I went there to pick up my car the first time my unbrella and a new tools for changing tires (which was an air jack and still in the box) was stolen out and my trunk. They also left my window down in the back  and said my roof leaked and thats why my car was wet. I have not had any problem with my convertable leaking in the back since I left. I asked adam for a new milage and warrenty paper because I seen mistakes on it, he said that he machine would not print one. Now I opened up my paper and knoticed the miles are incorrect  again on the new one. he said he changed it, but didnt because the date is also is incorrect of the completion of work. I will never ever refer anyone there. It was an awful experience and now I have to go back! I just want the nightmare to stop. Adam even had the nerves to ask me on a date. Yeah right like thats going to happen!!!!
