AAMCO Transmission Theu hav had my car for almost a month and still hav not fixed it. Kansas City Missouri

We were completely blind sided by this customer's complaint. We need to correct a couple of claims this customer made about her repair experience. First her car was brought to our center and diagnosed the same day. She authorized a repair to her to her power steering pump and serpentine belt along with two pulleys. The repairs were completed the next day. Our customer then comes to pick the car up and has approximately $120 of the $400 dollar repair. She did not know the repair would need to be paid in full to receive her car. So the car was left at our center for a little over three weeks. So the car sits untouched for three weeks.

After the three weeks she returns with the balance of the money to pay for the car. We go to start the car to deliver it and it will not start. This is on Monday 3/9/2009. We tell her that we will at no charge look at her car to determine what has happened to the car. As you can see the report filed here is on Tuesday 3/10/09 8 am. We were looking at her car as she filed this report.

She had a loose wire at her starter connection which we repaired. Her fuel tank was always full, her gas gauge did not read properly. The car was ready for pick up that afternoon on Tuesday 3/10/09 at no additional charge.

We have received a hand written letter from the customer stating she was completely satisfied and wished to withdraw her complaint against us.

Why would you take your car to a transmission shop for a power steering pump and a belt?

That's like buying tires at a gas station.
