Ordered several items from online website on October 19, 2008. After 3 week wait, I called the company (they have no toll free line, so you have to pay for long distance charges yourself). Company told me that they could not track the package until it was 30 days over due. After 30 days, I called the company again and they told me the merchandise was coming by boat (from Illinois?) and they couldn't track it until 45 days.
When I complained, they said they could do nothing. The online web site, as well as their catalog, is full of cute items...but BEWARE...although these items are tempting to buy, this company CAN NOT give you an estimate on freight. They say they will let you know when the package is ready to ship (but they do not). They charge you UPS rates even though your item is traveling the slowest possible rate (in my situation, they are SAYING by boat, but who knows what that means).
This company DOES NOT reply to e-mail correspondance except for form letters saying "we will get back to you in 48 hours". Telephone calls to customer service are equally as frustrating. I am so frustrated with this company, I have contacted my charge card company and told them to hold payment. If they ever do deliver, I will release payment.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, you will be in for a long long long wait (IF you ever get your stuff) and experience a LOT of frustration dealing with this company. BEWARE!!!

EXCELLENT HELP FROM ILLINOIS BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

I contacted the Illinois Better Business Bureau and told them my order information and told them the whole story of getting the run around from ABC Distributing - LTD Commodities of Bannockburn, Illinois. I also gave them the link to this RIPOFFREPORT web page and told them there were SIX pages of complaints. Within 24 hours, the Illinois BBB contacted me, gave me a complaint number and within 48 hours, ABC Distributing had refunded my ENTIRE purchase price PLUS shipping. I'm guessing that the Illinois BBB is wise to this company and is threatening them with action if they don't start responding to complains. So....contact the Illinois BBB (they are online..and it's really easy to do) and give them your story. Make sure you mention this web site and as much specific info as you can. Maybe you'll luck out like I did. This company really needs to be stopped.
