I was with them 2 years, which I never had any problems, accidents or contact. Then I went to Progressive for a way better rate. I got Progressive coverage on the 20th of November. I started calling ACCC on the10th, 10 days before, to cancel my policy. They had a payment scheduled to come out of my account on the 24th of November when my policy renewed. The number would give me the option of Texas, Missisippi and 4 other states. I would finally hit Louisiana, because the phone would hang up on you if you did not choose one. Then every time the person on the phone would argue with you that your policy number is not from them until you explain it is the only way you can get in touch with them. They will not allow you to cancel your insurance policy, with out them having a copy of the signature.
Well, I ended up faxing them my letter from my insurance agent's office 10 times in 2 days, my 4 times from my bosses office. I also emailed it to them . Of course they "never got it" .
On the 15th, a lady told me she would go ahead and cancel it and the draft, since I had another insurance company covering me, but I had to send the signature in the next couple days. It was cancelled on my online account that day. Of course they took the payment out on the 24th still, even though I wasn't covered by them for the last 9 days,and told me that it would be at least a month before I got it back.
I called Bank of America on the 25th, who then 3-wayed with me and the company. ACCC told Bank of America and I that the money would be back in my account within 5 business days. 8 business days later, I call Bank of America back because I can't get a straight answer from ACCC or any response. Now BOA has filed a claim against them and put stop payments on my account for that company so  they cant do it again. Worst company ever.
