ACT Account Control Technology violating FDCPA by harassing me and my family Canoga Park California

I have been continually harrassed by several employees at this company over the last few months. The first call I recieved was on my home telephone. The caller id said private and the person asked for me by first name only. Since I don't willingly chat with strangers, I asked the caller to please identify themselves. She told me she was with ACT and that she was conducting a personal reference check on me and asked if I knew me.

I acted as if I did and she asked me to please verify my address. I told her I couldn't give out that personal info and asked her to please identify herself again, because I was not sure what ACT was and I was actually the person in reference and I hadn't posted any job applications that I knew of, so what was she talking about.

At this point she said AHA!!! she had me and now we needed to talk about a 27,000 dollar student loan. Hahahahah I began to laugh hysterically...you see, I DID have an outstanding student loan, but it was for only aprox. 7,000 dollars, of which I had made 3 years worth of payments to. So I asked her not to call me again, I would handle this debt with the person I borrowed from. So, from that day on, I have been called 4 to 6 times a day on my home phone and cell phone.

My older sister told me she has been called and harrassed and probed for private information about me. She referred the company to her lawyer. I have done as advised and asked not to be contacted by telephone, however the calls continue. This is a violation of the FDCPA and I will be persuing legal action with my lawyers.
