Adrian Flux have totally ripped me off. I had taken out a classic car insurance policy with them, but when I made changes to my vehicle and then informed them of these changes I paid the extra premium to ensure the vehicle remained "covered" even though they had increased the price substantially from the original figure they gave me, as I had enquired as to the cost before carrying out the modifications to the vehicle, this is not the worst thing they did to me though!

They explained I would need to sign some new forms, I informed them that the only way I would be able to do this within the next 6 weeks (due to an army traing course, I would have no way of communicating with them) was if they emailed me the documents for me to print and sign and return in the post on the same day, being Saturday. Low and behold they did not email the correct document, I tried to phone them again that Saturday with no reply, and upon my return some weeks later discovered that they hadn't emailed the correct document until the following Tuesday.

However, they had in my absence sent a number of letters asking me to sign the new ammendments to my policy, then a letter warning of cancellation then a letter of cancellation! All this after I had already explained I would be unable to be contacted or contact them for the next 6weeks and had agreed with them on how to comply with this signing of new documents the very day the changes were made and they took more money!!!! Incidentally they actually contacted me to say that they hadn't taken the debit card payment when infact they had withdrawn the amount TWICE!!. Again this is not the worst of it.

I phoned them on my return and after reading the letters, believing that as they at first seemed a reputable company, that this was obviously a fault of themselves, they would reinstate my insurance cover. WRONG!

They could not have been more unhelpfull and obstinant. Not only had they had my original insurance premium that I had paid fully up front 5 or so months previuosly, they had taken the payment for the policy ammendments TWICE, and my vehicle had been parked in my garage for a number of weeks with no cover whatsoever against theft or damage.

They would not reinstate my policy, when I then realised they were in fact untrustworthy I wanted them to refund my money, for the remaining time of cover that I had paid for upfront which they wouldn't, they would also not return my money for the changes that were made to my policy that resulted in the whole mess in the first place, which were all their fault due to their lack of competence!!!!

They lied and said I had been emailed the documents on the day I requested them even though I had evidence that they had not done so on the day stated, but the following week. But they still refused to put things right. Actually going so far as calling me a liar!!!

They did however then try to blackmail me by saying that they would not refund what they owed me but would knock the price of what I was owed off a new 12 month policy with them if I took it out that day!!!!!! I obviously declined on the grounds of their sheer underhandedness, I explained that I had no faith in them and had I actually been unfortunate enough to have to claim, that I was sure they would try to wriggle out of their obligations. So that was that.

THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY AND NOTHING SHORT OF CHEATING LIARS>

I would like very much for this to be sorted out and have my money returned.

However I tried at the time to have your company do the right thing, to no avail.

So who should I contact within Adrian Flux?
