DID your building burn down a week later?
Why wouldn't they expect continued payments...isn't that what the contract says?
If it says you owe nothing if the building burns, you have a case.
You say you will pay $1500 over the term of the contract, but you can buy the equipment (installed I presume) and only pay $4.95/month w/no contract. What company will montior your system for $4.95/month with no contract...sounds too good to be true.
So, why didn't you go this route in the first place?
If you sold your neighbor your lawn mower and he's paying you for it in 12 monthly payments and he backs over the mower a week later and destroys it, he would then owe you nothing more...right?
