We've gotten behind in out mortgage payments because I lost my job and can't find another. I've tried to contact AHMSI [this used to be Option One Mortgage Co.] and get an automated message. The only thing about this that works is "push 1 for English!!" I need to speak to a human being and try and get some help but out of the five tries to contact this company today, I have had absolutely no luck!
I'm seeing all these other reports about AHMSI on this site and now I'm scared to death! I don't want to loose my home but how can you work something out if you can't reach your mortgage company?? Why doesn't the government do something about people like this? I then tried to contact them through their web site and failed there too. They just don't want to be bothered!
I've had my home for 20 years but just refinanced 5 years ago and ended up with AHMSI... Boy do I wish I'd never done that!!! Anybody have alternative phone #'s for these people??? I need help before it get's worse, financially and now, I feel I have nowhere to turn. Suggestions?

We too had a reduction in income and trouble getting hold of the right person at AHMSI, but try this person - Luis Trejo, 800 505 3706 ext 43747. Fax # 866 648 3625. They were able to work out a great modification for us that will help us keep our house. Luis was professional and to the point. Good Luck.

I know this company very well. I have been in a battle with them for the last year, myself. They do have other numbers to call. One is 949-784-6000. There is a woman named Christine Sullivan who works in the corporate division of AHMSI. She is very nice and she can direct you to the right person. Her number is 949-790-3600 x 35204.
If all else fails and you find no luck with that, you can also enlist the help of NACA (Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America). NACA is a non-profit organization that helps homeowners who are in trouble. They are big in this fight against predatory lending. It costs nothing to go through them. They stop auctions, restructure mortgages, and will assist you for as long as you have the loan they worked out.

I am also experiencing the run around. My home is very close to foreclosure. We have 3/4 of the money to bring the loan current and can not reach anyone about this matter. I thought since we live close to Irving, that we would just drive over and make a payment in person and work something out. But this place is very secure and even though there is a reception desk, anyone that walks in will be promptly escorted out by security. They do not ask who you are there to see or if you have an appointment the only thing the receptionist was concerned with was how we got past the small security desk that sits in the lobby. We told her no one was there. About that time security showed up, because she had called them as soon as she had come through the door and saw us sitting in the reception area. So i am curious to know if you ever did get to speak with anyone at AHMSi and how you did it. Because there is no talking to anyone from that company in person or on the phone.
