SEO Reputation Management at its best!

FIRST OF ALL, I WAS HIRED AFTER SEVERAL INTERVIEWS AND FINALLY AFTER THE THIRD INTERVIEW THEY CONGRADULATED ME INTO THE COMPANY. THEY SHOWED ME A BOOKLET THAT SHOWED ALL THE SALARY THAT EACH LEVEL MADE. THEY SUGAR COATED THE COMPANY SO WELL! I BELIEVED EVERY WORD THEY SAID. IT SOUNDED TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, SEEING AS I WASNT WORKING FOR MONTHS BEFORE I JUMPED ON THE OPPORTUNITY WHEN THEY CALLED ME IN FOR AN INTERVIEW. ALL I GOT OUT OF THE CONVERSATION WAS SOMETHING ABOUT A MANAGMENT POSITION.

SO, AFTER I GOT THE JOB THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE A MONTH PROCESS AND THEN I SHOULD EXPECT TO GET INTO THE FIELD AND START MAKING MONEY. SO I PUT DOWN $250 FOR THE BOOKS AND STUDIED FOR DAYS AND DAYS AND DAYS. FIRST ATTEMPT AT THE LLQP EXAM I FAILED. SO I TRIED AGAIN, FAILED, AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS I FINALLY PASSED ON THE 4TH. SO BY THIS TIME IT WAS 2 MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD. AND ON THE 4TH TIME, THERE IS APPARENTLY A $25 FEE?? BOGUS!
SO THEN I WENT TO WRITE MY PROVINCIAL, PASSED IT, YET ANOTHER $100. THEN ANOTHER $115 JUST TO OBTAIN THIS TINY CARD!

KEEPING IN MIND THAT ITS NOW $493 OUT OF MY POCKET!

ALL THEY CONVER IS THE MOTELS WHILE YOU ARE IN TRAINING.

THEN I COME ACROSS THIS WEBSITE CALLED RIPP-OFF REPORTS AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO THINK.

NOW THEY HAVE ME IN THE OFFICE, DOING ALL OF THEIR WORK. PHONEBOOKING FOR THEM, AND PAPERWORK. WENT ON THE FIRST "ROAD TRIP" BUT I COULDNT MAKE ANY MONEY BECAUSE I DIDNT PHYSICALLY HAVE MY LICENSE YET! AFTER 70 HOURS OF WORK IN ONE WEEK WE WERE BACK HOME, BUT THERE WAS NO TIME TO HAVE OFF, BACK IN THE OFFICE THE NEXT 2 DAYS TO GET READY FOR THE NEXT ROAD TRIP. BUT NOW THE INSURANCE COUNCIL OF BC HAS SENT ME A LETTER SAYING THEY ARE MISSING INFO. SO MY MANAGER FIXED IT, AND TOLD ME TO SEND IT OFF. SO, ME BEING NOSY, WHEN I GOT HOME I OPENED IT.
ONLY TO FIND THAT THERE IS STILL MISISNG INFO. SO I TOLD HIM AND HE SAID "OH SHIT" NOW TELL ME HOW PROFESSIONAL IS THAT?

SO IM ON MY SECOND ROAD TRIP AND ON THE FIRST DAY THERE I QUIT. BECAUSE I CANT AFFORD IT ANYMORE, ITS NOW 5 MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD AND THERE IS STILL NO MONEY. MY BOYFRIEND CONFRONTED MY MANAGER AND HE GAVE THE SPEAL THAT EVERYTHING IS OK AND THAT THIS IS HOW IT WORKS, WE ARE GIVEN THE LEADS AND WE ARE CONTRACTED AND ITS ALL UP TO US. AND YADA YADA YADA.

SO MY BOYFRIEND CAME HOME TO CHECK ON HERE (RIPP OFF REPORTS) AND SURE ENOUGH, ONE OF THE RUBUTTALS ON HERE WAS THE PRETTY MUCH THE EXACT SAME AS WHAT MY MANAGER SAID.

ALSO, WHEN I FOUND THIS WEBSITE I WAS SO CONFUSED I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO THINK. SO I CONFRONTED MY MANAGER AND ASKED HIM WHAT THIS WAS ALL ABOUT. HE ASSURED ME THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE AND THAT THIS SITE IS MADE BY A CRIMINAL WHO IS WANTED AND THAT ITS ALL BOGUS AND NOT TO BELEIVE ANYTHING, BUT THEN I THOUGHT TO MYSELF AFTER READING QUITE A FEW OF THE REPORTS ON HERE, HOW COULD THIS "CRIMINAL" EXPLAIN ALOT OF WHAT GOES ON IN THE COMPANY, HOW DOES THIS ONE MAN KNOW ALL THE DETAILS, IT DOESNT ADD UP. THIS COMPANY IS VERY FISHY TO ME AND THINGS DONT ADD UP.

I THINK THAT DURING THE TRAINING AND WHAT NOT, THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF PAID TRAINING, OR SOMETHING GIVEN PEOPLE AN INITIATIVE TO STAY. BUT WHEN YOU ASK THEM THAT, THEY WILL COME UP WITH SOME SORT OF ANSWER TO AGAIN SUGAR COAT THE COMPANY SAYING, "WHAT KIND OF COMPANY WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE LEADS YOU NEED, AND HELP YOU SUCEED, NONE!" "EVERYTHING IS THERE FOR YOU" "AND NO INSURANCE COMPANY GIVES YOU REFFERALS" BLAH BLAH BLAH. I DONT CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE, I CARE ABOUT NOW, AND MONEY TO PAY FOR THE BILLS. LUCKILY MY BOYFRIEND WAS WORKING, AND HE COULD PAY THE BILLS WHILE I WAS TRAINING FOR THIS "AMAZING" JOB THAT I HAD. AND TOLD HIM NOT TO WORRY BECAUSE I WILL BE MAKING "GREAT" MONEY SOON.

SO ANYONE WHO COMES ACROSS THIS SITE AND IS READING THIS, I AM TELLING YOU STRAIGHT UP, IF YOU DONT HAVE TO TIME AND TONS OF MONEY TO THROUGH AWAY, THEN DONT JOIN THIS COMPANY. IF NOT THEN ALL I CAN SAY IS, I WARNED YOU!

I used to work with AIL-Canada-Altig. What I have read to this point about the negative feedback on AIL is true. First I want to start with a positive note. When I first started with AIL, I actually enjoyed the manager I was in direct contact with in the Burnaby BC office. The manager was nice and accomodating to me and was not anywhere near as nasty as some of the managers I read from other offices. Unfortunately, it was because I liked them that I overlooked the obvious problems with this company. I actually feel sorry for some of them because I feel that they could have done better elsewhere.



After three months, I left the company because I could no longer feel good about myself and my involvement with some of their business tactics.



Take note that I have been successful in sales in previous positions. Unfortunately, I along with half the company I previously worked for was recently laid off, thus I was determined to no longer work for another company. Because of this along with my "Greed" and being "Gullible", I got sucked into their empty promises of "easy money" and success.



Since I left many years ago I have become a "Certified Financial Planner" with a very sucessful business/practice. I enjoy what I do because I actually "help" people in their financial goals, through building relationships, not just selling them a product(insurance). I also make a very healthy income in the six figures and I conduct myself and my business in a very professional way with integrity. That is why today, I cannot stand knowing there are people and companies like AIL who are giving the financial and insurance industry a bad name. Although it is unforunate that many people lost money and time in associating themselves with AIL (like myself), ultimately it is the public/consumer who loses out. All who joined AIL and left made their own choice and must deal with the consequences of their greed, BUT the consumers did not make this choice and ultimately they are the losers.



Below are the true facts about AIL Canada

1)When they call people to set up an appointment they are not honest about the purpose of the call. Unexpected consumers don't realize that they are there to sell them insurance products labeled in fancy symantecs.

2)You are forced to read a script, thus you are forced to use antiquated "worn out" sales techniques that no longer work on the general public. Basically you are a telemarketer, except now you get to lie to them face to face.

3) Your job is to sell supplementary insurance and then run. Your really not there to help them or build a relationship with them. As a matter of fact the script I use to have made it clear that we were to tell the consumer that we were not there to replace their actual insurances. The reason why, is we didn't want to have the advisor/insurance agent who sold them the insurance to find out we were there because if we went head to head with them our scam would be quickly exposed.

4)The insurance products were low quality and very expensive. I asked the AIL managers if they had insurance with AIL and they all admitted that their own personal insurance was with other reputable companies. That should tell you something.

5)The leads they provide are re-hashed over and over again, so they aren't even considered "Bad" leads, but actually "no" leads.

6)They make people leave out of town because they have overly saturated the local market that the only way to find new victims are out in desolate regions where many people have not heard of AIL.

7)You are not self-employed or independent but a commissioned employee. The Canada Revenue Laws state that if you are forced to work certain hours for a company or if they force a schedule on you (which they do), then you are their employee and they must pay taxes accordingly. They say you are self-employed, so they can avoid taxes. I guess they walk the line so well that they stay below the CCRA radar.



The only good thing about staying in the finance and insurance industry is I have been able to rectify the damages that AIL has caused to the consumers, by taking away and replacing AIL business. Just a final warning if you are considering working for them or you continue to work for them, then you are either a fool/naive or you have no business ethics. If you are a consumer who has purchased AIL product, I highly recommend you contact a legitimate financial advisor or independent insurance broker and have them review your AIL policy for you...because hell will freeze over first before the actual AIL rep who sold you the product will come back and review it with you.
