In other words. They can steal all the electronics they want, and the company will never be held responsible. I don't even think they even investigated.
I am positive that their purpose was to stall me as long as possible and to put enough hoops and barriers in front of me that eventually I would give up. and at that point they wouldn't have to reimburse me or do anything. Not even investigates their employees. if Air Canada employees feel they will not be investigated. It's as much as encouraging them to steal.
Do not check any electronics or any valuable items with Air Canada, or Any airline

I think your problem is with Baggage Handlers...
AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, November 04, 2008
POSTED: Monday, November 03, 2008My cousin went to Baltimore, Maryland to attend a Homeland Security-sanctioned training class.
When she got there from Austin,Texas, she found items missing from her luggage -- items that had nothing to do with the security or the integrity of the safety of the airplane.... things like seat suits and shoes and other things that the luggage handlers apparently just STOLE from her luggage.
She tried to report it but form what I understood, she was warned that she would be facing sanctions like being put on the no-fly list and being listed as an evildoer and all of that usual intimidation stuff.
I don't fly at all. I don't want to. I don't need to.
I would look at the baggage handlers if I were you -- NOT the airline.
Maybe this guy WAS working in cahoots with the crooked baggage handlers, after all, these folks don't get the best pay in the world and they have to make it up somehow.
But I DOUBT that an airline is sanctioning its employees to rob the public. ESPECIALLY AIR CANADA!
