On the 25th of March 2014  I was misled by the sales person (Company Representative) at All Purpose windows and doors in believeing that I would be receiving Alclad Aluminum Windows and Doors with wood casement interior finish.  Instead I received windows and doors that are made from a fiberglass material and not Alclad aluminum as promised.  The sales person told me that the name of the Alclad aluminum window and door style with the interior wood casements would be called "Integrity" on the paperwork which he had me sign on the Sales Agreement.  The product description on the Sales Agreement states:  "Marvin Integrity Ultrex Wood Windows".  I had no reason to believe that I was signing up to something other than what I asked for from the sales representative which I understand now has been laid off or has quit the company.  The sales person never told me that the Integrity Ultrex was a fiberglass composit material.  I was assured that the one's I ordered would be Alclad (Aluminum material).  I had no reason to believe otherwise.  The qaulity of the "Integrety" products (subsidary company of Marvin's) is sub standard and is not what I asked for nor expected from All-Purpose Windows and Doors.  The Sales Agreement does not say that the "Integrity Ultrex" is a composite (fiberglass) material nor does it say that it is a Alclad Aluminum.  I took the word of the Company Representative and feel that I was mislead, misinformed, duped in believing that I was getting something which he knew all along that I was not.  I have also documented 25 discrepancies regarding the poor installation from All-Purpose Windows and Doors.  The branch managers (Nick King) position is that they will fix any installation issues but that I am stuck with what they installed since I signed the Sales Agreement.  A typical "Bate and Switch" operation.  The branch manager also told me that they are "very much concerned about customer satisfaction" but is unwilling to satisfy this customer with a ligitimate complaint!

Window and Door Issue Resolved

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 29, 2015

Shortly after I submitted this Reoort concerning All Purpose Windows and Doors located in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a bit of a struggle to define the actual concerns, the store manager and the owner eventually took action to resolve my concerns.  I am happy to report that the doors and windows were gone through and reset as required.  They acknowledged the concern regarding Alclad designation and agreed that I may have nonintentially been misled by a previous salesman regarding what I received versus what I thought I was getting.  As a result a substantial discount was offered and I accepted since the windows and doors are exceptional quality even though they are not the Alclad that I thought I was getting.  The windows that I did receive (Integrity) are of a great quality and I am pleased SO FAR!  Overall, the manager and owner of came around and recognized that there were conflicting issues that were resolved in my favor.  So, I am happy to report that "All Purpose Windows and Doors" now known as "USI" is off the hook!  ta, ta.
