ALLCONNECT They do purposely misrepresent their company Atlanta Georgia

I called Xcel to start a new account. When done the agent spouted off a quick, incomprehensible spiel ending with "I'm going to transfer you now." When I asked who they will be transferring me to he said "a 3rd party." I had to ask him who, he said "Connect Smart." When I got there the first words out of the agents mouth were, "My name is Cindy and I work for Xcel" and she went into her spiel. So I interrupted her and asked her to clarify who exactly she works for. She then said she was sorry for any misunderstanding, and that she actually worked for AllConnect and was a "partner" of Xcel. Of course, this was no "misunderstanding." It was a blatantly attempt to deceive me into believing I was still talking to Xcel, not a 3rd party mooch that has paid Xcel for the right to try and take even more of my hard-earned money!

Unfortunately, as power companies have a monopoly, I have no choice but to continue using Xcel. But, AllConnect has no problem lying to me from minute one, so there is no way I will trust them with my move, let alone any of my sensitive information. Looks like other's weren't as lucky, actually being fooled into giving up personal info with this scam.

WATCH OUT, they are everywhere! Whether they are Xcel-approved scammers, or mugging you in an alley, they are all crooks that look to steal the easy buck from those that work for it honestly.
