AMERIGAS I was treated 'Un-Fairly' & repoted to 'Ethic's Hotline', only to be fired one week later! "Stepped On MOMMY'S TOES" Hendersonville, North Carolina
To be 'Brief', I was fired for complaining about 'Married-Couple' getting 'Speacial-Treatment'!! The office Manager, Judy Winters, is the 'WIFE' of 'Wayne Winters', a Delivery Driver. One of two! I was #2 (go figure)! In the 'First-Place' , this is against 'Company-Policy' to allow a Married Couple to work at the same store!! (Speacial Treatment # 1 ) I realized there might be partiality shown when Wayne (husband of Office Manager) did not want to make a delivery that would require him to work over! He got upset to the point that he "QUIT" , cleaned out his truck & went home!! His Wife followed him 30mins. later after the Manager suggested she go talk to him. They were both out the next day & a TEMP. was called to take 'HER' place & I was expected to fill his customers & 'MINE-TOO'!!
The next day, Wednesday, they both returned & in a 'Employee Meeting' the Manager suggested we forget it happened & would appreciate it not be mentioned again. They were both 'PAID' for thier time away from work, not 'VACATION or SICK-PAY', just simply paid.(Speacial Treatment #2) From this point Wayne pretty much did what he wanted. I guess I should mention how Judy Winters (Office Manager) would complain of abuse from her husband & reg. complained that he did nothing at home , "TOO"!! She had to mow grass, etc., etc., etc., ! After my workload increased because of Wayne's lack of "wanting to", I complained to Tim Owens, the Manager. Nothing was done! I complained again about 6wks. later & again nothing was done! It was suggested to me by forme employee, that saw how things were, to call 'Ethic's Committe'. I did & one week later I was 'TERMINATED' for smoking in the Truck! Suposedly ashes were found in my Truck on Sept. 19th, but waited until Sept. 25th to 'Immeadiately Terminate" me!!
There is "MUCH" more to this than I can take time to write, but this Amerigas is "CORUPT" from TOP TO BOTTOM!!! For example: The Service Tech. lives two hours away & is allowed to drive Co. Truck home, on Co. Time & Co. fuel!! He also is allowed to "DRINK-ALCOHOL" (BEER, Coors-LITE) on his way home!! ..............I talked with 'Don Protor' about this ( Human Relations Head ) & he told me that my Records show 'Term. for Poor Perf.'............at Unemployment Hearing, Tim Owens stated "you were not FIRED for not doing a good job "****', you were fired for smoking in the TRUCK!!! His witness & mine both swore to the fact I never smoked in Truck!!! I think alot of Amerigas's Offices are corupt, but the Hendersonville Office is for a FACT!!!! This Manager also Manages the SprucePine,NC Office as well!! In my 'OPINION', The Manager & the Service Tech. are both "Corupt-Butt-Kissers' that get away with all the 'CROOKED-STUFF' & threaten all employees, "I can always get someone to take your place!"..........................Judy Winters is Office Manager & forwards 'Company Info. to Tim Owen's Home for him to do, because he is a 'Part-Time Deputy Sheriff' that gets a kick out of FLASHING-HIS-BADGE............maybe after someone of Athority reads this, he'll "GROW-UP"
