Complaint Review: AOL
AOL22270 Pacific Blvd Dulles, Virginia U.S.A.
AOL Account termination, no warning, no recourse, no access to saved documents Dulles Virginia
*General Comment: Tiger , Can You Help Me Gain AOL Access?
*Consumer Comment: AOL PC Checkup premium "Do NOT ORDER"!!!!!
*Consumer Comment: Same Deal Here: Need my Saved Emails, Contacts, Stored Business/Personal Info from last 8 Years!
*UPDATE Employee: Were you able to fix this?
*Consumer Comment: Be glad to be rid of them...
I acknowledge their right to terminate, however they should provide a warning, a chance to answer and correct, and the ability to retrieve my personal information stored on their site. I certainly would suggest that anyone using AOL to reconsider that decision, or at least, move and store your information on your hard drive.
I have no idea of what I did to deserve this, but I assure you, it has caused much anxiety. I do not wish it on anyone. I would ask that you write your Congressman and request legislation that would allow a terminated subscriber a short period of time to retrieve information and contacts. This regulation would apply to any service. Thanks for your time.
