I bought my house in April and within a month had two gentleman saying they were representatives of APX alarm at my door. We decided to go with the program and get the system. We set up on auto draft from a bank account and my husband lost his job. By the time he found more work I was out of work for surgery. There were several contacts with APX Alarm to try and get our past due balance paid, and trying to explain the situation. Every bill we had was past due. We recieved several very rude phone calls from representatives that I called back and explained the situation to again. The representatives said things on my answering machine like "Come on, give us a call, we are done with the games. Time is running out!" and "You need to get your act together before we are forced to pursue further actions". What is this place run by the MOB? I called back after those two messages and voiced my opinion of their rudeness. I now have almost all of the bills paid up in full now that my husband and I are back at work and started to make contact with the company again after recieving a letter stating that we are in violation of our contract. They sent us to an attorney. The attorney is asking for almost 2700.00 in 30 days or they are going to ruin our credit rating and take us to court and push the bill to almost 7000.00. When I called the company to ask about getting my account reinstated I was told that the only way to reinstate was for me to pay the buy back fee on the account. That would be 200.00 and then pay the past due fees. That put me up to around 450.00 When I said I didn't have it and I wanted to speak to a supervisor to try and work things out because I didn't want to lose the account, and I wanted to try and make things work, the rep told me that if I didn't have his money today that it was not going to happen. I was then told that I was no longer a customer and that I would not speak to a supervisor! I repeatedly requested to speak to a supervisor until I was hung up on. Scary that a company that is supposed to protect you and be there for you could be SO VERY RUDE and UNPLEASANT to deal with.
